#thfc are yet to match Real Betis' €75M valuation of Giovani Lo Celso and have received several rejections to offers throughout this summer | @AFDLP

Looks like that other journo was wrong - no surprise

I struggle to keep up with this thread overnight that’s turned it from mass suicide and #levyout to everyone happy again.

Has everyone just reached acceptance?
Just sums up the bipolar nature of our fan base.

Scratch away all of the noise around this and it does look like it is a move all 3 parties are open to. Just got to find that middle ground between the two valuations where neither party feels like its had its pants pulled down

I'm not as confident, but yes IF we add Lo Celso and use our youth setup we may have a chance.

But we lose CE, TA and JV next season... Those are 3 monumental players to replace. We leaving ourselves in the position of playing catch up. Oh forgot about Rose. Hope you right.
Have I missed some announcement or information regarding Jan? Given his age it seems pretty obvious to me that in November or December he will agree a one year extension and that will continue to be the case until he and the club mutually decide he's done his time with us.

I still think we've had Toby for longer than we expected and that Sánchez was/is in fact viewed as his replacement. We also know that Poche has always wanted Dier's future to lie at CB. We obviously have differing views, but I don't think there's a necessity to look outside the club for Toby's successor.

Eriksen is extremely important to how we've played while we've had him. Would it be easier to directly replace him (at something approaching £100m one would assume) or to tweak our system (like Klopp tweaked Liverpool's when Coutinho went)?

What did you mean by "we may have a chance"?

Looks like Montecastillo is a golf resort on the outskirts of Seville, so it's no surprise he has gone along as normal. Does temper the expectations from last night that a deal will be reached imminently.

Maybe Levy should head on over and get GLC and Bale too, as he is always apparently playing golf ;)

Betis keen to get the deal done quickly? Christ on a fucking Caesar salad
"Betis are keen to get the deal done quickly, but only at the exact price of their choosing". They are of course fully entitled to put a high price on his head, but not budging from that is not conducive to a quick deal.

The key question remains: Is he actually worth the €75m they want? In this summer's market, that puts him among the (former) Ajax starlets that have moved. Does his profile really warrant a similar fee to those paid for de Jong and de Ligt?

We just need another twitter unknown to say it's done so we can bring the party back for another day.

To be honest Betis could be keen to sell whilst still not willing to sell for peanuts. It depends on what we're offering really. We don't know if it's their stubbornness in demanding a fee that is too high or if it's our stubbornness in not paying a somewhat respectable fee.

Me personally, I don't actually care which one it is, knowing the facts and details doesn't change anything. I just really hope that eventually we can come to an agreement.

Sorry - it's an off-shoot from me saying that adding just Lo Celso would be an acceptable conclusion to our summer's business (incoming, at least). That leaves me more optimistic that it will happen eventually.
