Probably going to Munich. If its a German player and they aren't at Munich I always assume sooner or later they will end up there.

Anyway, back to the topic...given Lo Celso is seen as an Eriksen replacement and is a different type of player. Are we switching systems? I don't expect Lo Celso to match the ground Eriksen manages to cover per game nor his productivity levels. Also there is the question of how well he will transition into a more physical league, will he hit the ground running?
Nah, Eriksen sucks. Haven't you heard?

You're questioning whether a player will be able to transition into a more physical league in comparison to Eriksen:LOL:

To answer the rest, Lo Celso seemingly covers a lot of ground himself, it will mean a switch in styles.

I think he means how will Lo Celso feel about being pushed around more on the pitch rather than he himself making a lot of tackles.

I know, I know, but still... :ROFLMAO:

Eriksen isn't a physical player but I honestly he just plays that aspect smart, no tackles means less impact injuries. Yeah for us as fans it is frustrating to watch, but I do wish someone like Kane could do the same sometimes

I reckon he will be fine, he seems very comfortable taking the ball under pressure and what I saw in the game vs Madrid he seemed very comfortable getting the shit kicked out of him.

I think Eriksen has suffered from no Dembele who was able to suck players in creating space for Eriksen who as you say played it very smart and could dictate games within that space. Makes no wonder how he'd do with the likes of Lo Celso and Ndombele behind him who seem to have that similar trait.

I'm surprised that we haven't been linked with Werner again. We were clearly interested in the last window and he's moving into the last year of his contract now so it would seem like a deal that Levy would be interested in.
It seems very difficult to buy Italians Spanish Germans players because their leagues culture and financial packages are very true to them. French Dutch Portugese South American Africans East European (except Russians) and others seem more readily to move. Note this isn't fact just my observation.

JJ mentioned their director of football is the guy who left us a couple of years back.

Dembele is a massive loss to the team his command of the ball and control of the game. As well as Sissoko's been and hat off to him we've lost 20 bloody games in all comp. THAT IS POOR.

I know it's just semantics but being 'physical' is a more wide term than breaking up play. Bernardo Silva for example is probably one of the best off the ball players in the league. Constantly pressing and hassling the opponents high up the pitch for. He has excellent physique. Similarly to Eriksen who can do this for 90 minutes. I do feel like we sometimes underestimate that aspect of Eriksens play.

From what I've seen of Lo Celso he can could probably be molded in to that kind of player as well.

Yeah I mean, the players literally all said he's our best player, I don't think missing dembele was why we lost the final but Sissoko and Dembele although both physical are very different kinds of physical. Dembele could suck players in around him just from holding the ball centrally such was the difficulty of getting the ball off him.

I'd take the question of handling the physicality of the league as whether he can deal with the tackles and attention which will be thrown his way. There's no question Eriksen was excellent at pressing and putting people under pressure but I imagine the concern of the original poster was can he handle the more physical nature of the style of defending in the prem.

Eriksen gets through a lot of miles during a game he certainly isn't lazy but I still think he does't use his body well enough ( He is a unit too very deceptive stature) to tackle. Bottom line is i like Eriksen but the contract issue and rumour surrounding him going is wearing.

I havent seen much of Lo Celso and whilst I have watched some youtube videos im not going to rely on those - all ill say is 60-80m he best be fuckin good if we were going to spend that much... then again I imagine he will be an Eriksen replacement.

If Real has decided against Eriksen though, surely good chance he stays now, perhaps signing a new contract with a hefty buy-out clause for Real or Barca.

In which case, do we still go for Lo Celso? Could we ship out Lamela to free up a space? Or do we focus instead on Ndombele?

Tottenham transfer target Giovani Lo Celso trying to push through big-money move

Real Betis are ready to consider any deal worth £70m Giovani Lo Celso although Tottenham's initial offer is not quite near that

Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is trying to force a big-money move to Tottenham .

Lo Celso’s representatives are confident they have reached an agreement that Real Betis will consider any deal worth £70m.

That is a significant breakthrough as Lo Celso has a release clause worth more than £80m and so far Tottenham have got nowhere near that figure.

Tottenham are believed to have had a bid of £62m - made up of £50m plus add-ons - rejected by Real Betis who must pay Paris Saint Germain a sell-on fee which is making the deal complicated.

They are still some distance apart but Real Betis know the player fancies a move to the Premier League with Tottenham.

Argentina midfielder Lo Celso, 23, is keen to link up with fellow countryman Mauricio Pochettino and a big money record-breaking deal would also be a significant show of intent.
