Never had a problem getting food and drinks at the new stadium. Although I would advise giving the Market place a miss as it’s normally packed.

Oh. I don’t understand concessions then. This figure is supposedly for money spent in the stadium ?

Have people emailed the club about the waiting times and pumps not working?

Posting on here is a waste of time as i doubt the club read the stadium thread.

Have made club aware of the issues - and been thanked for letting them know.

The gassing issue seems to be main problem - and with training the staff should be able to manage this. They get everything back on stream when demand dies down, it's just managing the situation when they are under pressure

Hopefully it will get much better when the staff get more experienced.

Yesterday I wanted a burger and there were about 60 burgers pre-prepared in front of my eyes. However, the person serving me had run out of pieces of paper which acted as burger vouchers.

No word of a lie, I waited about 5mins for them to get more vouchers and they spent another 30 seconds writing out in full "Beef burger with potatoes". I took the piece of paper and handed it to the person literally right next to them and they handed me a burger off the massive pile. Madness but I enjoyed the experience for the comedy value.

Hahaha

My wife came with me and as someone with over forty years of top flight admin experience she immediately saw easy ways to improve the whole process and speed things up.

Still the food is good and I feel for the people who obviously had no experience of the equipment and systems yet had to serve so many. I had less sympathy for the glitches that meant they could not open a key entrance door and the body scanners failed as well. Very funny though which made me glad I don't pay £15,000 a yr to use this entrance since I have never found any problems with the ordinary entry

£23m seems pretty optimistic I think we had 7 competitive games. That’s over £3m a game lol.

I think it’s the same guy who provided the figure for the spend figures before half time in the opening game, that was then taken as gospel by the media.

Hopefully the others do aswell. One or two emails can be dismissed as moaning but if they get hundreds then they will do something about it or at least bollock someone to do something.

Apparently the club made over 2M on Saturday

I wouldn’t be surprised. Until the novelty wears off the stadium is going to be a huge cash cow. As long as we keep winning at home next season I don’t see anything changing in the short term.

This was posted by sonicyouth on SSC.

This quote is pretty funny.

"We talked about the desire for healthy sandwiches, bagels and wraps. This is something we receive regular requests for but which the team do not see replicated in the stadium. For example, for one match they sold 30,000 pies and sausage rolls but eight sandwiches. We would suggest that this is because fans don’t know where to buy them."

£2m total is plausible with £600k on tickets. £2m on concessions would be pretty staggering that’s £30 a head.

I've got no idea if the £2M figure is accurate, but apparently they sold 40,000 units of beer during the legends game. Could we do three or four times that amount when the stadium is nearly full and people can buy drinks throughout the match?
