Luke Amos, Skipp and Marsh all featured against Roma. I would Amos had a really good game and played close to 75 mins or so. Skipp wasn't bad, would like to see him get more minutes against Barca/AC Milan. Didn't really notice Marsh but he did come in towards the end.

Anyone know why windy got banned from Sc?
What makes you think he is banned? You can still view his profile, which is something you cant do with permanently banned members, so if he is it's temporary.

on griffiths, i think people are starting to go too far the other way now, in part because of his somewhat annoying/arrogant personality but also possibly as a defence mechanism to seeing us lose another talented young player. i've always tried to temper the hype around him and as others have said, he is rough around the edges to say the least but the numbers he put up last season are hardly a regular occurrence and that wasn't solely down to him having a physical edge over his opponents. a lot of his goals were truly impressive strikes from all manner of angles and positions, similar to how kane arrows the ball into corners. his touch, passing and running with the ball all need a hell of a lot of work and ultimately those areas of his game may never be good enough to play at a high level but let's not downplay the obvious qualities he does have.

He's 18, if he was that special he'd be near the 1st team or scoring goals at a higher age group tbh.

There seems to be a clear route to the 1st team if you're good enough obviously.

No there is not. There is no route to the first team.

Because winks came through before Poch really got started here. Where we are now has Poch afraid to bring through an academy player and trust them.

If your gonna use the logic that winks was already through because he was training with the first team and made an appearance before poch doesn’t that mean KWP, TOB, CCV, Georgiou, Edwards, Amos, Lesniak, Harrison and Sterling have all come through under poch? Because they’re all where winks was pre-poch

I’m sinply using your standards for a player having “come through” there, you can’t have it both ways.

Didn't he sign his first pro contract a few months after Poch joined?

Bollocks there isn't, U-18, play up at U-23/PL2/EFL Cup, out on loan at a club from League 2 - EPL dependent on ability and then try and force your way into the 1st team squad. If you're especially talented with the right attitude, you can skip loans and get into the squad a la Winks and to a lesser extent obviously KWP.

Players can be night and day from 17-22, the most gifted often end up not making it at the highest grade and it's not to do with coaching and opportunity...it's to do with the player.

Some of these kids now have had agents since 9, that kind of thing is crazy and when they start to believe their own hype, it often doesn't work out. Fuck, we've had enough outrageously talented players who have squandered their chance.
