We do but as we know Jose wants at least one of them further forward. But when one of those is injured we have to rely on Sissoko or Winks as you say. I don't believe this is ideal for him and I believe Jose wants to upgrade on these and bring in a more instinctive/progressive player rather than a DM.

There's no surprise why we are being linked to Sabitzer. A player who could play where Sissoko does but is much more progressive and technically assured.

I also don't believe Jose wants a Kante type. I did some analysis on our game vs Leicester and Kante would have made no difference because the issue was breaking out, that's why Jose will want a player like Sabitzer/Soumare - someone who can play intelligent passes or beat the opposition.

Hojbjerg does the Kante role well enough. He covers the spaces/ground, quickly shifts the ball on and screens the defence. I think Skipp can do this too. Signing a Kante type would be a waste.
Can you do some analysis on Skipp too?

Seems like there’s a lot of blind faith( not just from you btw) that he’s going to make the leap from top of championship to top of premier league just like that.

Blind faith fueled by the manager's ringing endorsment.

"I'm really happy [he's signed a new deal]. Everybody in the club is, his team-mates are, I am and Skippy is or not he wouldn't sign the contract. I think he's genuinely Tottenham's future," the Portuguese told football.london.

"He's one of these players by human quality, by personality, he is one of these kids that I have no doubt he will be an important player for Tottenham. Sometimes coaches are selfish and I told him that.

"I never told him I want him to go on loan, I always told him I wanted him to stay here, because that's the selfish perspective of a coach who wants the best possible squad. In his mind he wants to go on loan, six months, the whole season.

"He feels that he needs that, I also feel that would be good for his evolution, so maybe that is the direction we go.

"I think he can be more than a player, he can be a future captain here. Hugo, Harry. I see this kid being one day a future captain here by his character, by his personality. I feel really happy that he signed."

Yes I’m aware that’s there’s a lot of positive comments, even from Jose.
And no one would be happier than me (he’s a local lad from WGC -another one of our own).
All I’ve ever said is that for his own benefit -his ‘evolution’ to quote Jose, would be best served by a PL loan next season.
He’d have all of the pressure to perform, even be a leader in the dressing room, but play week in week out against the best.
I’ve advocated the exact same approach for Troy Parrott too.

There aren’t many players who can come straight in to a Pl-challenging team at a young age and dominate. Terry/Fabregas/Rooney/Kane? (does he even count?).

I’m just not expecting miracles, that’s all

I'm actually one of the few people who was calling for Skipp to be recalled this January, as I truly believe he is ready to help the team. I could be flat out wrong about his potential but given his professionalism, the plaudits from every manager who has coached him and the praise he receives from his contemporaries, I feel pretty assured that will he live up to some of the hype. Also, I've watched Norwich play and best way I can describe his performances are that of a veteran 32 year old pro in the body of a 21 year old. He's very mature and incredibly robust. There are very few football related bets I would place but Skipp being a vital part of our midfield for years to come is an easy one I would make every time.

That’s fair enough. I watched a couple of Norwich games (Derby & Watford). He was ok, solid but unspectacular. But that’s his thing so I understand why he didn’t stand out in a creative sense.

I suppose I’m cautious because some of our recent talent was hampered by not getting good PL loan experience (KWP/winks), whereas I think for Walker it was a vital stage in his development.
They’re all different though.
Let’s hope you’re right

Can live with the RW situation as we've got enough options that hopefully one should find form from now until the end of the season, whether it's Lamela, Bergwijn or Bale.

However there remain two *glaring* areas of weakness in the team - a CB who lives for depending and allows us to play a higher line without being called Sanchez, and a player who can cover the ground Sissoko does but actually looks like a professional footballer on the ball.

Links to Sabitzer and Militao make complete sense but considering our HG issues and lack of funds I'd be surprised if either problem is solved this window unfortunately.

Sabitzer is a desparate need this window. We dont really have a choice. GLC is unreliable. Winks & Sissoko are decidedly not good enough whatsoever. This is non negotiable if we want to make CL next season at this point. A CB as well would be great. And a manager who doesnt sit back asking to drop points at 1-0 up every game.

Is the ITK forum shut or am I just banned from it for some reason?
Has been said several times now, there isn't one whilst we have no ITK. We will have one if we get some ITK but completely pointless having one if we have no ITK as people will just chat about random things and would get closed down.

Without trying to go down a conspiracy theory wormhole, I think it’s unusual not to hear anything, even if it’s only to hint that nothing’s happening.
