That KO of Patterson was disturbing. One of the longest recovery times I have seen from a KO, he was trying to fight the ref about 30 seconds after 😳

Well happy for Leon, and Gaethje!

Incredible from Leon, think he definitely deserved the win too. Usman pressured but didn't really do much damage in doing so and was being kicked all fight long, as well as repeatedly trying to shoot for a take down without really setting it up. Leon defended those so well too.

Congrats Izzy. Never been his biggest fan, wanted Pereira to win the last fight, somehow gained more respect for Izzy and wanted him to win this one. Great comeback story if you factor in the 2 kick-boxing fights, but there was always the possibility if you look back to round 1 of the last fight he was seconds away from KOing Pereira. No definite need for a re-match tbh

Masvidal correctly retires. Really, the apex of his career was a trio of wins against 3 fighters that were a combination of out of their prime and/or with names far bigger than their actual abilities.

Wanted Pereira to win too. For such a big scary man he has a bit of a glass chin to be honest.
Just seen the clip of Izzy taunting Pereira's son as well, can't believe he done that!

Couldn't agree more about Masvidal. Entertaining fighter but really had hardly any wins that are that impressive besides a doctor stoppage against past-his-prime Nate Diaz and a couple great KOs against Till and Askren. Don't think he really should have got those title shots against Usman in the first place.

Huge weight cut will affect his chin. I’d be pretty sure at 205 pounds his chin will be more robust

Did not expect that from the sugar show! Great timing on the shot. Maybe he does deserve the hype…
Be interesting if they book O'Malley Vs Chito 2. They have both improved massively since the first fight.
They've both got great power. Chito has a hell of a chin, too.

Chito is a the clever fight for Suga. There’s a about to be a ton of superior wrestling challengers coming for that title, makes sense to get a first defence away against a striker

From what I’ve seen Strickland was very composed and controlled the fight really well.

Very good performance.

Yep. Izzy was terrible, Strickland was solid throughout. Izzy looked like he could coast through and it all changed from the end of the first round where strickland caught him and almost finished him. Although izzy recovered somewhat he just had no answer to strickland constantly walking him down.

i actually hope there is no rematch as adesanya was that poor, but his previous results i think will mean that he gets another crack.

Agreed don't think Izzy should get an immediate rematch.

Strickland's style is so impressive, to some it might be boring but his blocking and parrying is amongst the best ive ever seen, the way he rolls with the punches and counters is so clean. he had Izzy looking completely lost and out of his depth, which is ridiculous

Ive been a big fan of strickland since his fight with Brendan Allen. His style is unique to say the least

It’s a good job his style is the way it is given that he spares everyday. Most fighters would get some serious head trauma from that.

Been away so just caught up on the last couple of weeks.

Cyril Gane looked excellent. Still annoyed he got caught out so early by Jon Jones… I’d like to see that rematch and throw Tom Aspinal into that mix too before Jones gets done again for PEDs or arrested for whatever…

Don’t think stepping up a weight class was a good idea for Thug Rose… she’s never looked the strongest and this was exacerbated.

Strickland fought a great fight. I’ve always thought Izzy was a boring fighter who takes few risks (GOAT conversations have always baffled me), barring his previous KO win, I’ve never been excited by his fights (I feel similar about Jones too).
