If we can get Gimenez for a decent fee, say under £40m, while still keeping Richarlison, I think it would be a clever move.

As others have said, he's still developing, and fits the system so would make sense.
This would start to make sense for me, but I'd sell Richi. Getting for Richi, what we pay for Giminez, could work. He'd replace him as our back up striker - albeit younger and with room to improve.

Spending 60 on him and having him as our main striker, I just couldn't get behind. Others have done a good assessment above - he doesn't (yet) have the quality IMO

Disappointing to read that Arsenal and Chelsea are both targetting Estavão.

Fortunately he's in record saying he wants to play for Barca.

Maybe Barca can seel us some talents.

I wonder if Roque would be possible

We’re not spending big money on a 29 yr old
I’m not saying we should buy palinha but spending big or fairly big on the odd occasion on an older player shouldn’t be completely off the table if it’s exactly what we need. It should only be very rarely but why cut off your nose to spite your face

True. Problem is often with how many players you need. This summer I believe we need at least 5 first team squad players. If we maintain our net spend of around £150m then that leaves little room for a big money signing.

To this day people talk about Rice not being worth the fee they paid. He’s been excellent for them and as they didn’t need a huge amount of players they could pay extra for someone.

Fans often think the desire to spend big is looking for a next level player. Actually it’s often just the freedom to buy what you need, even if the player costs extra.

If we’re going higher on a player this summer I’d hope it’s an attacker like Nusa though.

Nusa who failed a medical at Brentford after they’d agreed a fee of £31.5 m?

how much exactly are you expecting us spend on him then?

Not this again, hahaha.
He’s 28.

Point is, we’re not the kind of club to buy a player for massive money who is likely to only have 3 years left at peak level and then will have little resale value. like it or not, unless the player is 25 or under I doubt we spend big money.

Paulinha is 29 in July so it’s not gonna work for us.
