I don't like using the word but this transfer window was so 'Spursy' The chairman finally decides to open his wallet and the manager tells him not to bother. I'm not going to go too deep into it as I have already covered it before but the manager clearly has a plan of action and a lot of belief in what he already has. I just hope this doesn't blow up in his face because this window was totally 100% down to him.
I'd love to know how not spending this year affects our transfer budget this season especially if we make top4.
Fuck all probably. All goes to the stadium is my guess.
I'd also love to know how much profit we are hoping all the additions to the stadium will make. I'm really keen to know how all the delays and additional costs will affect us.
I said this to somebody already but I feel like our stadium is a bit like that show on bbc where the guy gets a budget for a wedding, all he needed to do was buy himself a suit, fiance a dress and her mates a few dresses along with a venue, instead he's spent all the budget on making it a battlestar galactica themed wedding and now he's got no money left and is fucked.
I'm very interested to learn whether all these additions causing the swelling of our costs will actually be worth it in the long run or fuck our ability to compete on the pitch for a long time.
Without all that expenditure we wouldn't have our NFL tie-in and I wouldn't be getting exciting deadline day emails from the club about their new range of NFL merch for sale, so I do think it's worth it in the long run.

the concern is Trix he is not spending as he is off in the summerI don't like using the word but this transfer window was so 'Spursy' The chairman finally decides to open his wallet and the manager tells him not to bother. If this is the case then we may never buy another footballer again ... The unmitigated horror!the concern is Trix he is not spending as he is off in the summer
if it is tactical then fair enough Poch knows better than all of us, the worry is that he hasnt bought as he cant tell players he is def staying
Dunno why people get so upset about the NFL link, it's just business, which football is.
I wouldn't think about it, unless you're involved with it, you'll never know. Pat Nevin of all people made this exact point on 5 live.I just am curious as to how much profit we will make from it, I'm hoping that if there's a London franchise that it comes our way and it benefits spurs to have them using our stadium, right now though I'm concerned about given the complexities of our stadium build and the swelling costs whether it will affect us.
Thanks Trix.
Always something with Spurs huh?! Kings of finding obscure complications. Can't catch a break.
You'd imagine Poch putting his foot down suggests he's staying for next season at least, which I'm perfectly happy with if so. Would be a proper dick move to turn down a load of potential signings (playing the long game) and then jump ship to Utd especially, and I think he's much better than that.

You're better off worrying about the types of cheese available to you in the cheese room, that's if you have access to it, if not, then you're shit out of luck.
The exact opposite of Harry Redknapp. He already has a squad of thousands but still wants more players. It seems that Poch has committed to a plan and Levy has given him plenty of control over the project which is very encouraging. The ITK has all suggested that Levy has offered the money but Poch has replied 'Not yet'. I think that probably sits well with Levy compared to other managers who constantly demand money. The silver lining in the black cloud of the last 2 windows is that Poch does seem to have a long term plan for us and he feels secure here, particularly when you consider the revolving door for managers at so many of our rivals. I also think that we're significantly ahead of schedule on Poch's plan and as a result the expectations of the supporters are also rather inflated. IMO, 2 years into the new stadium is where we should be looking to hit top gear.
