I like how these transfers are sensible signings we know will work (and hopefully exceed expectations). When SAF needed upgrades he went and bought the likes of Carrick, Valencia etc who were top (maybe not world class) players who are great proven prem players. We already have the likes of Kane and Son therefore this feels like building a team that can be greater than the sum of it's parts.

I like being linked with Messi and Co as much as the next person. And BirthdayBullet-aldiho might look great on youtube from the S.Am leagues...but this works.

Thanks the info guys, feels a good day!

Happy @Bulletspur Day, Bissouma!

Really wasn't expecting this to come to fruition, and nice that the ITK seems to have picked this up (even though I disregarded it as background noise)

My congrats to A&C for his fiendish cryptic this morning.

We're all here innocently reading about ostriches and biscuits, totally ignoring the fact that Bullet's avatar (Marley) is a homonym of the country where our imminent signing comes from (Mali).

Well played, sir.
You’ve seriously got to stop stealing my ideas, Nine

Concerned that we are using "delaying tactics"?? If they are just trying to milk us for all we're worth, then of course we are going to stop and think about it.

Really? Levy involved? Must have not gotten the memo that it's Fabio nowadays.
I hinted at it last week when I said Levy still has involvement. It's known he's leading the Eriksen negotiations due to Trix stating it but he's also involved in other deals. Paratici lines up several targets for each position and then pulls the trigger on the one he wants, there is no chance he can do everything so of course Levy still deals with some negotiations, he just doesn't identify the players anymore.

Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. Too many conflicting info out there. (y)

actually all itks have said hes taken a back seat, he still the chairman and has to sign off on things.

Of course he will continue to sign off things. No doubt about it. Just talking about the "negotiation" between Boro's chair and Levy - media hyping it up as a battle. But like Hotspur88 says, who knows.

@Hotspur88 . . So I'm wrong? I keep reading that Levy is not involved in most of the transfers negotiations.
Levy will always be involved, he signs the cheques, I would like to think they work as a team but Levy has taken more of a back seat in negotiations with clubs, thats how I thought it was anyway.

That's interesting as we had info that he was very hands off now. It's frightening that he used to identify the players like you say. Like really frightening

We’ve definitely had ITK that Levy is still involved- like in the Eriksen negotiations. It sounds like maybe there is a divide and conquer approach where Levy is handling some negotiations to free up Paratici for others - so that we can conclude business sooner. Sounds like a lot of things are going on at once.

If I'd had to pick a midfielder for us to sign this summer it would've been either Eriksen or Bissouma. I didn't think we'd get Bissouma because I thought other clubs would offer bigger money. This is a fantastic signing for us.

And Happy Birthday Bullet.

The business we are doing looks incredible. Very good players at reasonable costs (free transfers / lower fees). When the players Out ITK starts to heat up, I’d expect our net spend to be reasonably modest.

Not sure if anyone else has given it a thought, but I think Conte has some pull with players in demand. But what do I know
