Look I'm all for FDB, but i just noticed something. After the Santini debacle we had a good coach in Jol to stabilize us, we opted for Ramos then (Exotic coach) who flopped. It was a not so fancy Harry Redknapp who stabilized us. We then tried an exotic name in AVB again which did not work out. Like it or not, Tim is winning games for us and has stabilized us to a certain extent (agreed its our squad quality that's helping but you see my point right?). My only doubt with FDB is are we making the same mistake thrice (or is the fourth?) time by bringing in another exotic name to revolutionize us? Tim might be outspoken, but are we expecting too much from a stop-gap manager who came in mid season with Champions league pressure on him? Shouldn't we at-least give him one more season to see what he's got in a tactical sense? To be consistent we need stability, and what's to say FDB or LVG or Pochettino might be another exotic name who couldn't cut it at Spurs?
In your opinion how has Sherwood stabilized us? I see unhappy players, players wanting to leave, players not knowing what they are supposed to be doing (tactically) during games.

Also, you names some "exotic" managers that have failed but we have also had managers managers fail that aren't Exotic, George Graham, Glenn Hoddle and Christian Gross.

Wtf?
I said neither he nor TS have proved good enough for us.
Your previous post was the epitome of the boring 'here's why avb is better than TS' cherry picking of facts. Hence the 'pro avb camp' comment.
Do you acknowledge the negatives of avbs management? Because these have been glaringly omitted from your assessment thus far, a fact which, to most indifferent bystanders, make you appear incredibly partisan.

For the 3rd time, this is not the thread for AVB / TS discussion. It is a Frank De Boer thread. Thus I cannot continue to respond to you in here. Jesus H.
You're welcome to start an AVB Out thread, and I'll reply to you in there, or in private if you like.

Cheers

I think AVB had some inherently great ideas re: how to build a successful and a competitive team that functions as a cohesive unit. However, people seem to forget that he was not given sufficient time to execute his plan, nor was he given the players he was after.
We can slag off Andre until we're blue in the face...We can laugh and be cynical about his so-called "stubborn" approach.....but the fact is we'll never know what his true potential at Spurs could have/would have been (had he been provided the requisite time and resources). He was essentially doomed to failure before he even started at WHL.

I sincerely hope we can display the patience and discipline required for our next manager ((whoever it may be -->> Frank/Poch/Tuchel; as long as it's not Dimbo/Moyes/the Chubby Spanish Waiter)) to succeed at installing his system, and putting his plan in motion.

COYFS!

You're a complete joker. You were the one who brought up avb in this thread - the post ive quoted above, YOU just made unilaterally, replying to no one.

Now you are saying this is not the thread to discuss avb.

Just wtf...

You know, I was trying to be civil. Apparently you can't handle that, and must resort to name-calling once again. I thought I already warned you in regards to personal labels, and now you're beginning to upset me.
You obviously got a lot of pent-up frustration and anger that you must work out, but acting like a little keyboard-warrior is not the way to do it. Trust me. So I'm going to say this the only way I know how -> Now be a good lad, and fawk off, while I still got a sense of humour. :finger:

Probably already been mentioned but is anyone else slightly worried by the 5-1 Cup final defeat they suffered in Holland against PEC Zwolle? To lose a final that badly against an inferior opponent doesn't fill me with the greatest confidence in his big game ability
It is a concern that they haven't won the dutch cup yet have been to 2 finals. That said he has only had 3 1/2 years in management, so he is still learning and played in plenty of final wins as a player. Also, one of those finals, was in his first half season in management and the 5-1 loss was in strange circumstances, as they were 1-0 up and then the game was put on hold due to crowd trouble and they had to get a ex player (Van Der Sarr I think) to try and calm the crowd down. Below are some big games that they have done well in.

Beat Barcelona (and Ajax had 10 men for 40 odd mins).
Drew twice with AC Milan.
Beat and drew with Man City.
