Well but for Sanchez letting Lookman getting the cross in and Dier jumping too late to stop it we win 1-0.

Another goal from a cross from wide.

As well as a Dembele, Modric esque midfielder.

We really need a dominant ball winning CB

Not defending the second half performance, but I didn’t see it as us willingly concede possession and sink back. What I did see was a complete reluctance to build any sort of play through midfield, which has often been the case when taking the lead in games. We actually played pretty well after the opener until the 55th odd minute. I don’t know if it’s the players, manager, or both, but suddenly, and I’ll give credit to Fulham for pressing and working better as a unit to cause this, we just stopped giving the ball to winks, hojbjerg, ndombele with any sort of regularity. Maybe it’s what the team are used to, but not for one second do I believe Jose’s intentionally told the players to sit back. Whether he instructed the players to play long balls is another thing. Regardless, the way we started playing in the second half will invite pressure no matter what, but it’s not a case I don’t think of wanting to sit back. There’s a huge need for a midfielder who is able to get on the ball and play when faced with a higher press, or ndombele has to play deeper or show for the ball deeper more often, which he did a lot of in the 1st half, not so much 2nd. Regardless, it’s fulham, and winks and hojbjerg (although it’s not his main job) should be able to do that.

Their keeper made 2 or 3 world class saves, yet that is on Jose???

Yes, make enough chances then luck doesn't come into it. We didn't set up to create enough chances, luck didn't go our way and Mourinho failed to act when it was fucking clear things were going to go tits up. It's on Mourinho.

We took 7 from 9 out of City, Chelsea and Arsenal. We're better against those teams because the defend and counter tactics work against those.

whilst I agree, I also fear that they’ll be able to suss us out pretty easily. Teams know how to play against us. I doubt our tactics of last time will work again.

I watch every game and I struggle to see what role he plays. He can’t defend or attack, he’s weak and has no positional discipline. Then there’s his passing. He’s another overrated midfielder just like bentaleb, Mason, Livermore and O hara. Would he start in any of the top 6 teams? No!

This the same Winks that basically spent 70 mins covering for the holes PEH had to let open up to close down the ball the way he does?

Sanchez, Aurier and Sissoko lost all shape and dscipline... and not for the first time. Those three are a disaster together.

Can’t wait for us to beat Liverpool in a couple of weeks, when it will mean absolutely nothing because of results like tonight!

Can I ask if you are happy with having less possession at home against a relegation threatened side?

And would you have started Sissoko at RW and have him play the whole match as Bale sits on the bench whilst we succumbed to potential loss?

I don’t really give a shit about stats as long as we get a result. Yes I’m upset we didn’t get 3 points, but we had enough chances to score 2 or 3 more. Bale has shown nothing to suggest he is worthy of a place in the team tbh. I loved the circus around him signing but he is done, hasn’t worked out so we move on.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the changing room. Jose: lads, let Fulham come on to us as we will absorb it and possibly score a goal.
1-1, lads we have 10 mins to rescue the game!
Ok, all 10 outfield players. Really, what can your defense to this performance be?

I had (have) high hopes for this season as I thought this was the best squad we’ve had for quite a while but if we’re honest the team that started today is not even a top 4 team. We have a great squad but starting matches with a weak 11. I’m quite baffled by it all to be honest.

Is it ultra critical to blame lloris? I'm no keep but it seemed he was too much on his line which made it impossible to save. If he was off his line a bit he could have cut the angle and potentially saved shot
