FFS. We played some good football. But fucked up on their goals, and were really unlucky with cuti in the woodwork and Micky with VAR.
Don’t forget the Kulu pen as well, which they then went and scored from.
And the OG.
Typical f*****g spawny gooner ars*****s.

What was the trouble outside the south stand at half time about, someone said some arsenal fans were in?

That’s concerning and I wonder how they managed to get in. Earlier this season a Liverpool fan was sitting near me and last year a Man Utd fan was in the West stand concourse when I had my old seat there. Not too sure if this stems from ticket exchange or the touts or both.

Not one to knock on stewards etc but there’s been a lot of issues with people who don’t have a ticket for the safe standing area in the south that just rock up as well.
Yes, I don’t get why I will suddenly have about four people standing next to me in one seat space! And they’re always lairy twats that don’t like it when I’m obstinately protecting my space. And they got all eighteen stone of me on them when VDV ’scored’.

Try to avoid these threads post match as everyone has a different opinion, some are a bit more sensitive about theirs, etc. But the first half really irritated me in that we just lacked ambition in the final third, very same against Newcastle, no point in having possession if you're going to just play the ball backwards all the time. Difference in the second half is that we kept going forward and trying to score rather than not lose the ball. That's how we played start of the season, before teams figured out that if they put men behind the ball we'd just play it sideways and backwards. Disappointed to lose, but the positive second half performance will be irrelevant if we go to Chelsea and Liverpool next week and repeat that lack of ambition going forward. Could point out Son and Maddison as being the main culprits here, but also believe that they're not comfortable in their positions right now.

Few gooners were in South Upper thats a definite. Got escorted out. Angry fans followed them out. I think.

He wasn't crap, I reckon he was played because him and Bentancur were a stronger defensive midfield and we needed that against Arsenal but the goals from the corners changed our priorities, that's how I read it anyway.
Maybe Bissouma and Sarr were more efficient on the front foot which must lead us to conclude that is our best way forward.

Its opinion. But i ask the question. Why play a midfielder who is clearly off in a couple of months, in a huge derby?

Know exactly what you mean that’s taking liberties. I would defo write into the club about it. Someone I know in block 256 wrote in about guys standing in front of the disabled section and the following home game they placed extra stewards in that area. Seriously needs sorting in that safe standing area as that’s not safe at all.

They were In the North West concourse when they scored the second too apparently - openly celebrated like lunatics according to the fella that sits next to me. Stewards did fuck all and so a few Spurs had to intervene to stop the piss taking.

How did he not give this as a penalty on field? Absolutely baffling. Look at his facial expression in the image!

Michael Oliver definitely wanks looking in the mirror.

Ok thanks, it looked a bit more than that with the riot police and beer chucking, and I was worried when the stewards shut the barriers down and locked us out.

Any who went think the atmosphere was pretty flat from both sets of fans? Even after Son’s penalty the attempt to lift the players fizzled out after a couple of minutes

Haven’t read up on this thread yet as just got home but I’m being told the following by friends:

- VDV’s wasn’t offside as Tomiyasu made a positive attempt at the ball when it hit him
- Deki was fouled but got punished for staying on his feet
- Romero was clearly shoved as his header hit the post
- Michael Oliver missed Rice’s kick on Davies from a yard away (but thankfully VAR rightly overturned it)
- Ben White was impeding Vicario at corners

The last one I feel is something that happens a lot and we need to do more to stop it happening rather than blaming the refs, but the other 4 incidents are down to inept refereeing. Assume it’s quite hot in here tonight with all the above?
