Merson looks dejected after that City result.

I feel better now.
Merson should not be let anywhere near so called punditry roles on a national stage. His lack of objectivity as far as talking about Spurs are concerned was there for all to see, the difference in his ability to be objective and Dawson’s was gaping and embarrassingly clear.
He’s basically an AFTV fan boy and as biased as some of those idiots with the only discernible difference being that he actually played professional football in comparison to the bellends on AFTV who mouth off horseshit by the truck load.

Same goes for Martin Keown but he doesn't have the excuse of the booze and drugs frying his brain, I think he's just a bit dim, and weirdly bitter despite his success.

Keown is an odd one isn’t he. Very softly spoken and articulate, but completely blinkered and like you say with an edge of bitterness. Maybe because he wasn’t seen as one of the “legendary defence” he was more of a back up to the likes of Adams, Bould and Campbell.

While Merson is thick, he at least seems an amiable chap who is nice enough, same goes for the likes of Ray Parlour and Tony Adams when I’ve seen them on things.

Keown though, like you say seems bitter.

Not meaning to sound condescending but have you actually watched him other than today, he had been really frustrating most of the times i have seen him play this season. He has 5 goals and 0 assists in 19 matches. Brennan has 5 goals and 7 assists in 26 matches in the league.
that's slightly misleading as madueke has only played 700 minutes to johnson's 1900.

he does need to be more decisive where it matters but i'd put the two on a similar level when it comes to potential.

Keown takes himself far too seriously. I doubt he would ever laugh at himself.. He tries to portray himself as some polished intellect, when in reality, he's as thick as shit. I love it when Simon Jordan blatantly takes this piss, but Keown doesn't quite get it.

Brighton seem to have packed it in for the season then and their next four games all against teams trying to get a Euro spot..
Also who they going to sell next to try and pay off Mr Bloom.

He wears those glasses and takes copious notes when it’s not his turn to speak, in order to project that very image. Be interesting to see that notepad of his, as I doubt there is much enlightenment on there, if in fact we could read it.

At some point this magic formula of buying cheap and selling to Chelsea for a ridiculous profit is going to come unstuck and I can see them falling very quickly when it does.

The best thing for Brighton would be if another club appoints De Zerbi, because he's clearly checked out and yet Bloom can't really justify sacking him.

Have United buy him out, get all that hair gel out the cupboards and start the process with someone who wants to be there.

Interesting that 6 of the current top 10 goalscorers in the PL this season are English. It's like being back in 1995.

Could be a good thing for our Euro's hopes. Probably not.

Could Utd possibly turn up and do something against Arse?

It’s probably the same situation with us against City and not actually wanting to win that game 😔
Yes, I assume the Man Utd forums are full of the same chat about that match as us about the City match. I cannot see Arsenal failing to get 6 points from their 2 home games so this is the only chance of a slip up but , with so much on the game, I think they will be too efficient for Man Utd's few individual players to make much impact. I fully expect City will need to win all of their matches and I'm not totally convinced they will. I think we could definitely get something against them as could Fulham.

Theyll beat Fulham.

And draw/lose to us.

You just know it.

im confident that no matter what Ange says that the crowd will ensure that we lose that game if we need to. Likelihood is that city will trounce us anyway as our form suggests that we will struggle to lay a glove on them regardless if we want to win or not

If they had anybody with any resemblance of quality instead of him chavs would be comfortably ahead. He gives effort, but he cant pass, cant shoot properly and he is very clumsy with the ball in general.
Fast though

it's an incredibly difficult one for Ange and the players. They're professionals who would never go out to lose a game. But the atmos is going to be very, very odd.

I don't want Arsenal to win the title any more than anyone else, but it would be massively small time for any of our fans to show discontent in a game against the best team in the world because we're winning.

If we win we win, if we draw we draw, if we lose we lose. I'll be supporting the team like I would in any other game.
