So if we get at least a draw tomorrow City can afford to lose one in their run in.

Looking at you the football gods…..

Looking at Villa’s fixtures I could actually see them losing all 3.

Was thinking that but personally don't think we'll get enough on the board ourselves to pressure them.
Wouldn't be surprised if it gets to the final day.

Spurs score a couple of first half goals against Sheff United and then we all sit and watch the game at Selhurst Park.

Squeaky bum time.
Villa could genuinely get 9 points or none.
As for us, fuck knows!!!!

I think if we have a good performance tomorrow and manage at least a draw, then we are still in with a shout of 4th. If we do the usual and get an silly red then it's hard to see us going on to get much from Liverpool, Chelsea or ManC. Regardless, we should have enough to get 6 points from Burnley and Sheffield.

5th is about what we deserve. As usual brainfarts against the Wolves and Fulhams of this world has left us all with a what could have been feeling.

Were still alive but I fear you're right. What will hurt this summer is it was Villa. It's one thing to finish 5th behind Arsenal/Liverpool/City/Chelsea or United. But Villa? It's one of the few seasons where 4th was really up for grabs.

What does Villa deserve after dropping a two goal lead against Brentford and Chelsea at home within a few weeks?

We both deserve about 6-8th in past years imo. There's only been 3 teams in it really this year. Us and Villa have just been too inconsistent and we've been lucky that United and Chelsea are still absolutely wank and that Newcastle and Brighton flattered to deceive on their form last year. Whoever finishes 4th it won't have been one of the vintage CL placings.

It's nice to see people clinging to hope of 4th. But we won't be closing a 7 point gap. We've all seen this film before. Even a positive result vs Arsenal will be undermined within a couple of games.

Next season might be different. But we know what we're dealing with here.

Interesting fact, burnley have only lost one game out of their last 8 matches. So no gimmes.

Lets just see what happens tomorrow. In terms of the premier league it’s genuinely one of our biggest matches in the last decade, and tbf we normally tend to show up to these. Even this year, our record against the top three is undefeated in 3 matches, and we showed up at villa park in a crunch match (albeit the second half). It’s usually the banana skin matches that screw us over.

Absolutely no gimme's but Burnley have played 35 and only won 5 - if we have ambitions, we should beat them.

Chelsea, Villa, West Ham & Wolves were all a bit shabby
