Honestly, it's not just because it's Arsenal, but in general I don't understand why commentators/pundits are placed to cover their old teams. Worse than that, it's like they do it on purpose. They should be actively avoiding it if they want to present balanced and high quality coverage. Hearing Alan Smith fawning when Arsenal are just playing against a team that haven't turned up is insufferable.
