Apparently they can't give a yellow on VAR, only a straight red. Which sounds ridiculous but there you go.

I was wondering if it was due to something like that. Agree, doesn't make much sense. Potential second yellows should surely be reviewed the same as potential reds.

I'm sure the VAR refs will get quicker as they get more used to it, but totally agree that took longer than it should. You could see without the lines that he was onside.
