This kind of comment shows that many fans don't consider the human element of the game.
Imagine, you play for a nice north London team, you live in a nice home and your family are settled. Your club tells you that you're not wanted and you won't be put into the team anymore and that you should move on to some offers from clubs in Belgium and Qatar or Russia. You say fuck that, I'm happy living here and so is my family, why should I move. I'll find a club in England. So you agree with the club mutually to cancel your contract (no one has said he's been paid on his final year which I doubt that he has) and you can go where you like.
You're now free to choose where to play and earn a living (like everyone else) and when another north London club comes in for you (allegedly) the fans of your initial club call you out for shitty behaviour?
Whilst I do pretty much agree with your sentiment here, in Aurier’s case didn’t he refuse to sign a new deal with us citing that he wanted to try a new league and country?
I thought it was more him wanting out (even if on our part we weren’t massively putting in effort to persuade him otherwise).
So would be odd now having refused offers from abroad and engineered us tearing up his contract and then signing for arsenal.

Looked for the report where he said that and according to this he stated it in an interview with L’Equipe.
