The problem he'll have is that his season will effectively be 15 months long, from now until next May. So he may be at peak fitness and look brilliant in pre season and the early part of the season, but he will have to be managed well so he doesn't tire out too badly.

Now I don't expect him to go straight into our side and play every minute, which will of course help, but the intensity of training will also have to be managed well by our staff.
Definitely something that needs to be managed but I think the minutes in those 15 months will be reasonable.

Djurgarden's midfield is the best in the country and contains two big signings and the club captain outside Bergvall. The talk around the club is not how they will replace Bergvall (as that has already been done) but rather the need to not be overly reliant on him as he will leave in the summer and that they have no more upside on the fee.

I don't think there is a worry of him not getting enough minutes, but I also don't think we need to worry about overplaying either.

A slight concern is maybe that he will be targeted more. In the last game they couldn't catch him so they started to hack him down instead. I guess a footballer's ego takes a hit when an 18 year old kid keeps dribbling past you.

Surely he joins when the window opens so will get the same post season rest the others get. He should get June to July off I would have thought. It's good Sweden didn't qualify for Euros as they might have picked him for that.

Maybe worth bearing in mind they're playing a second tier side in what's essentially pre-season, even if it is the Cup.

But he does stand out a lot.

This is why I wouldn't want him being too deep because he looks so good getting forward. I'm sure Ange will want away with 6s and 8s as he alluded too recently. Imagine him and Sarr, when one gets forward the other sits back. Maybe the same for Bentancur and Bissouma too, that's a hell of a 4 for that central 2, add Skipp for depth as well I think we're set there.

Think they are a third tier side?

He’s also still basically a child. So even if it a 3rd tier side it’s impressive. He’s also been the best player in his side that is obviously a decent team. At 18 years old. That’s wild.

Having seen players like Lo Celso struggle v teams like Morecambe, it's hard to know what to expect v lower league sides, especially over seas.

Translated from Aftonbladet:

Lucas Bergvall showed himself properly before the move to Tottenham.
He was behind four goals and scored a solo goal.
- A little Zlatan trick, says Bergvall.
Djurgården defeated Nordic United 5-0 at the Södertälje football arena and got themselves in a good position to advance to the quarter-finals of the Swedish Cup.
The organizer behind Djurgården's victory was Lucas Bergvall .

Two goals and one assist
Bergvall was involved in the preparatory work when Rasmus Schüller scored the lead goal in the fourth minute and seven minutes later he scored himself when he was cleared in the penalty area.
In the second half, Bergvall put on a real show.
He turned and twisted the ball in the penalty area before angling it to Deniz Hümmet who made it 3–0.
Standing ovations
Just before he was replaced to a standing ovation in the 72nd minute, Bergvall was responsible for a solo raid. He drove the ball from his own half and dribbled away several players before rolling in 4–0.
- I received a pass from "Mackan" (Marcus Danielson) in the middle. I turned up and then it was just driving. I got past 2-3 players, did a little Zlatan trick and put it in. It was a nice goal, says Bergvall.
Goal of the year in the Swedish Cup?
- I haven't seen all the goals but maybe so far, absolutely!
"Incredible talent"
There was a lot going on around Bergvall after the match. Both children, adults, supporters and guards jostled in Bergvall and wanted to take pictures.

- It is incredibly fun to play football. It's the best I know, he says himself about the resurrection.
Albin Ekdal made his competitive debut for Djurgården and pays tribute to Bergvall.
- Incredible talent he shows today. He is showing that he is worth the money that Tottenham bought him for. So it will be exciting to follow him and play with him for a few months before he flies off to Europe. He has a great future, says the former national team player.

"I am satisfied"
Djurgården won 5–0 , despite Haris Radetinac being forced to step in as goalkeeper in the last quarter.
- A good match from our side. We dominate the first 20 and score two goals. Then we have a slump but in the second half we completely dominate and score three goals, says Bergvall.
There was nothing to complain about when it came to the own performance either.
- I am satisfied with my effort, I make 2+1 and I am very satisfied with the team in general. We have increased. We had a bit of a tough time in the pre-season but we are building and continuing on this track, so it will be great.
