On topic of Ange, to show even more the kind of teams and mentality he builds. Worth watching the 2011 and 2012 A league grand final highlights. The 2011 game is up there with the World Cup final as the best games ive ever seen. Lucky to be at both as well. If there is one thing this team and club needs is mentality shift, but if conte and jose struggled...who knows. 2012 is also a last minute come back to win, they never ever stop

I wonder if Ange would look at bringing Carter-Vickers back, seems he's been a pivotal player for him and about the best player in the league for his position.

You only need to look at Carter-Vickers CV of loan clubs while at Spurs to see his level , a decent professional but not the level needed to compete at the top of the PL.
Just shows the standard of Scottish club football that he has made a big impression there.

The level of the league isn’t relevant apparently. It’s all about cuddliness, passionate speeches and local weekend league level mic’d up coaching sessions mentioning ball speed, passing with purpose and working hard for 90 minutes. I’m sure that stuff isn’t too dissimilar from what I heard from Kevin Horlock as a 16 year old at Needham Market and I wasn’t blown away by it then either. If he signs I will hope I’m wrong because I’m tired of shit football at this club but honestly the level it takes to impress people on here is concerning

Yup, hasn't Russell Martin, a passionate and fairly likeable young coach (as far as i'm aware) being playing good football in the Championship with Swansea? The Championship is a higher rated league than the SPL after all. Why not get him in, if the gulf in level doesn't matter anymore? I'm not saying Ange won't step up, but nobody can truthfully provide any evidence that he definitely will.

We do have a certain image to uphold....as a stylish cosmopolitan football club we need a manger who exudes poise, urbanity and sophistication.

I picture Daniel on the first day, hand on hip with a finger held to his lips, welcoming Ange with a shake of his head....then cut to a 90s-eque makeover scene. Madonna's "Material World" plays whilst Daniel whisks Ange between Saville Row Tailors and Mayfair barbershops for a haircut and a shave.

Transformation complete, Daniel beams with pride only for us to lose 5-2 to Luton Town on the first day.

I don’t think he would. If he were to consider any of his Celtic players he could maybe make a case for Jota, who he may believe has the potential, then perhaps Kyogo Furuhashi as a decent squad option (think Okazaki in Leicester’s title winning squad). Even those are probably unlikely targets as he’d have more pressing priorities at goalkeeper, a higher Level centre back and a playmaker/attacking midfielder.
