you should watch the games not look at a retarded (ie no scientific basis to it) calculation of xG, which is often meaningless.
It's not retarded if you can analyse it, and there wasn't any difference of this performances.

Just thinking, given our recent results against Man City, what is the likelihood of us winning tomorrow and then going on and beating them again in the league cup final?
If we win just one can we save it for the final please?
Just cant see us doing them twice. Maybe a draw tomorrow then a win?
Think we'll get stuffed in both but heres hoping eh.

Well it's retarded if you analyse the data using retarded assumptions. Just putting decimal points in your stats doesn't make them more accurate. xG is just corporate bolloxs

As with the Everton game , quietly confident ...and all know how that ebded. We won't beat them twice so make your minds up, tomorrow or Cup Final.

We don't win the league so we don't dine at that table.
We haven't won the fa cup in thirty years so again don't dine at that table.
We got to a CL final and decided dining wasn't for us and left.
We are very unlikely to get top four this year so again no dining taking place.
Where is this deserved dining at the top table you speak of as we are not seeing please advise.

Good news is that some of their prime players are maybe out injured. Let’s bring this game to Manchester. COYS!

Fate plays a big part . Beating Everton would have set up another diifercult game against City on the 10th with Arsenal on the 13 th.. PL top 4 is still possible with teams above us still to play.

For me, we are showing signs of early season but have lost some personnel which takes away our edge. Against Everton was a very good performance. The changes made by Jose changed the dynamics late in the game, except for Kane, we lost quality. City will simply be better than us today but the final, if we get players fit, we are on par with them in a one off game.

As has already been stated, no way we win today and in the final. Feels like City have already won today and Jose knows it.

The final will be different though.

The last time City lost in the league was 14 games ago ( 12 wins and 2 draws) when we beat them. That took us to 1st in the table and City to 13th, how things have changed

Going along with everyones mood, today we will lose and lose well (if thats possible). For me, we need to play well and keep this little pocket of momentum going because when injured plays are back, we will fly. WBA and Everton , we played well, showing signs of early season. We just need the extra players back so Jose has better choice tactically. Once Europe starts the PL results will be all over the shop. In a few weeks it will be a good place to have squad payers fit again and hopefully we can go for it (whatever it is?).

This City team, on current form, could beat any team in the world right now, and they would be the favourites imo against anyone. I hope we show some fight in this game; we still have the resources to make it hard for them, and get a performance and possibly a result from this game.

Gonna be tough, their movement is exceptional. We certainly don't need to be giving them a helping hand through sloppy defending and decision making we've seen of late.

They're not unbeatable though, no team is. If we can play with the intensity we showed against Everton the other night, and up our defensive game, I see no reason why we couldn't at least give them a few problems.

That said, i fear for us if we're going to play low block, counter attack football. Big boy pants certainly required for this one. No continual sideways, backwards passing required. More a few players offering options to receive the ball, or attempting to break the lines through passing or dribbling.

We won't win inviting pressure, we need to give them more to think about than the odd counter attack.

Thing is we are very rightly so being negative about today's game but City's style of play suits our pacey counter attacks.

Just need to keep the goals against tally down
