Levy cannot afford not to sack Mourinho as things will get worse and not better.

The problem for Jose - and any other manager you might want to replace him with - is that the squad is jammed full of mediocrity. If you consider our senior defensive unit, it's hard to look beyond PEH in terms of who you would want to keep long term. That's a huge problem that will take a couple of transfer windows - and significant investment - to fix.

The biggest endorsement I can give to sacking Mourinho, is I feel nothing after tonight - at least under Martin Jol, Harry Redknapp, Poch, when we Spurs'd it up, we did it with the intent to win. We are utterly dull to watch.

Been a JM fan. No point hiding from it. But he was Levy’s last throw of the dice. The one he always wanted. Can’t see a way back for Jose. But what about the guy at the very top. A catalogue of mistakes and errors by him too. So I’m not sure it matters who’s appointed next whilst Levy runs the show.

To me that’s the saddest part of all this as Levy is here to stay.
