More chance of winning the World Cup.He should clearly come home, have a good rest and then be 100% for Tottenham in our pursuit of Silverware & Glory
Nah. I think it's most likely precautionary. He played on afterwards and didn't seem to majorly affect him. We will find out.I think he’s done for this World Cup. Usually when he has an ankle scan it’s never good news, and we know his history.
Very unlikely considering he was in training.I think he’s done for this World Cup. Usually when he has an ankle scan it’s never good news, and we know his history.
Hmm no he wouldn't like that sensible option. Think CL final. He'll play whatever. If we beat the yanks on Friday then just rest him until the knockout games.
True. England going no further than the QF anyway. He should clearly come home, have a good rest and then be 100% for Tottenham in our pursuit of Silverware & Glory
I know some of the calls for a three week rest are in jest, but I think it's seriously short-sighted to wish any of our players have their world cup end early to get extra rest. If a half-fit Romero or Kane (or any other player) underperforms and their team crashes out early, the mental toll of that is going to be much worse than the physical benefit they'll get from 2 or 3 weeks of rest. There's plenty wrong with this World Cup, but it's still an incredibly important stage for these players. "Happy and satisfied with performance but tired and banged-up" is a better condition for our second half of the season than "depressed and angry but well-rested."I would be gutted for him. I don't why our fans are so selfish when it's clear our players want to perform at the world cup. It's the same for Romero, I hope they can perform and remain healthy.
I get what you’re saying but it’s also part of his game to gain a yard against players he isn’t quicker than, his timing and intelligence with nicking ball past or away from players is great. I remember Wilshere used to get a lot of injuries for the exact same reason, he would time his touch to beat players very well but it would result in him being fouled by players fully committed because they believe they have a great chance of winning the ball then whoosh it’s gone and they’ve taken him down. Just part of Kane’s game unfortunately and he wouldn’t be nearly as effective at holding the ball up without itI'd love him to play the ball earlier and avoid inviting tackles instead of looking to draw fouls or little nutmegs. It seems like every time he gets injured it's from holding the ball when there's a pass on.
