When you have a release clause like that which multiple clubs would hit do they end up bidding against eachother and the transfer fee going up or does the release fee stat the same and they bid via contract offers?

Release fee stays the same. They would try to outdo each other on the contract to make them more attractive to the player than the other bidders.

Short term, will we now see that contract extension?
Would make sense all round surely? Kane I'm sure will get a pay rise and that guaranteed release clause can be entered.
This would give everyone clear markers moving forwards.
Kane would rebuild some bridges with the fans.
Tottenham get continued service or a large figure income than can also be budgeting future signings should Kane leave.
