They are leaving it too late, once Vlahović and Lautaro sign new contracts he will have to stay (unless Levy does it again and loans G. Jesus). No viable alternatives left, strikers are hard to get, even Chelsea spent weeks on Lukaku and it will be hard to replace strikers for other teams too.
Loans, we got already two loans you can’t have anymore then two. PL rules

I've actually just come over quite sad now about the whole thing. A lot of us (myself included) borderline worshipped the man and it felt so awesome to have "one of our own" be one of the very best players in the world. Someone most other fans were genuinely terrified to see on the team sheet. So now that the initial anger to the way he's seemingly tried to fuck us over has died down a bit, it's all just a bit sad.

Ultimately I think he's just a bit thick, or at least someone who's never really faced much in the way of adversity so doesn't have a very developed view of the world. He was easily swept along by the narrative of "winning trophies" and hasn't considered what his long term legacy could of been. I do genuinely believe he'll regret the move, whether it takes 5 years or 20.

Just a big, big shame to think what could have been. :(

The thing is. If we end up losing; Kane, Toby and Bale v last season

To have a stronger overall team we need to replace a ton of goals & assists as well as concede a lot less.

With that in mind we would still need; another top class CB, Striker, RWF, RB and potentially a CM in less than 2 weeks!

Now I love the narrative that Paratici could have things lined up but early in the window we heard through his contacts every time he farted. Now we're hearing next to nothing. With that amount of players we would be hearing something by now.

Even the most optimistic and positive fan must be having a few bum twinges at this point.

Darmesh shitbreath came of with a load of bollocks just before though, how spurs fans are sympathetic to kane and that even though he signed a contract with us we basically haven’t done enough for him to have to honour that contract. ****

Really dislike Darmesh with a passion. He’s smug, smarmy and full of hyperbole. And it’s proper cringe tv when he tries to be a ‘lad’. And he acts like a baby if someone else has a good argument. I can bear that Kaveh bloke a bit more but he can be at it sometimes too.

The one I can’t stand the most is that Jaydee bloke. Always remember when the Eriksen transfer saga was going on, he just said ‘well he’s not going to win any trophies at Spurs is he’. It wasn’t even the comment, it was the way he said it. Really matter of fact. He didn’t laugh or smile afterwards, it was like he was saying the sun is yellow. Said something very similar the other day about Kane too. ****. He keeps having a dig, even today. He said ‘unfortunately, it’s Levy who holds the power’. He didn’t say it as in ‘unfortunately for Kane’ or ‘unfortunately for City’, it wasn’t in that context at all, it was ‘unfortunately for Sky and the world of football, Levy holds the power’. ****. Wouldn’t surprise me if he supports another team in London…

****s.

PS - while I’m at it, Mike Wedderburn has really grown on me. He even did a Riggi-esque recorded interview wearing a Stone Island jacket last month.

PPS - Darmesh and jaydee are ****s.

My 5 year old asked for a Spurs shirt with “Kane 10” on the back for his birthday. I explained Kane might be wanting to leave Spurs to try new things.

His answer?
“OK Dad, can I have a Spurs shirt with just a 10 on the back and no name, I’m sure Spurs will have someone else scoring goals with that number”. if only everyone else in this thread were half as reasonable as him….

Your sons taking this a lot better than I did when Sheringham left

@Romario was bigging him (Patricia) up at every opportunity, I haven’t seen much of that the last week, you have to hope he has got some deals sorted and when/if Kane goes he can hit the button and it will all be over quickly, but I doubt the clubs will give us the same deals knowing we are sitting on a large Windfall.

I agree completely. Not only that but also with the way in which we setup we are heavily reliant on the front 3 creating things for themselves. The cm 3 doesnt exactly boast creativity or posses pin point forward passing and pogba esq balls over the top for somebody to latch onto, this is a big concern for me when we come up against the teams outside the top 8.

I do however feel tanguy will be back and that nuno has him set aside for some real genuine conditioning program and the stsmina required and transformation take time. That would be a big plus.

Right now another cm (passer like pjanic, or the lyon fella) and anybody with the remote capability of bagging 15 prem goals is a must for me even if they are not an out and out no9. The rest can be sorted in the next windows. These 2 things are a minimum i personally feel
