Gomes contract up soon?

Am imagining it or is H.G's contract up in the summer? Want's sorting out that one otherwise he'll think we don't love him anymore :wink:

So my wish for January:

New deal for Gomes and a striker that'll keep me happy until summer when we can go shopping for a shiny new CB not buying one of one that's full of dents and car park dings, not much to ask for really :grin:

Actually, it is pretty unusual for Levy/Spurs to let a player get within 2 years of the end of their contract (can't think why). I'd be surprised if he didn't get a new deal before the end of the calendar year.

Standard practice at Spurs (with exceptions for someone like Gallas arriving at the age of 33) is for all players to be given a four year contract with a two year option. That is two years at the clubs option, so in effect a six year contract. That is what Bale and Modric signed up to in the summer, for example.
So i would presume Gomes is under contract to 2014.

So we have a 2 year extention on Bales contract? Thought it was just a 4 year deal
