There is something more subtle and interesting going on here.

I honestly think that the fanbase has had an inferiority complex foisted upon it by rival fans, the media and circumstance. We are way too down on the team and the club compared to other fans. Our top players are too good for us and we should all pity them for being here, Conte is doing us a favour by joining etc. The negativity is corosive. No one hates Tottenham more than us.

So when we have managers who play into this, like Mourinho and Conte, who tell us that we cannot expect more or that other teams like Chelsea or Milan are light years beyond us; it's really damaging. Even though Conte wasn't necessarily out of line (nor was Redknapp), I really think we need positivity and promotion from the manager. We should be proud of what we've accomplished and excited about building further, increasing spending etc.

Conte had a lot of good traits but we cannot have a manger that even slightly tends towards negativity, it doesn't work for this fanbase.
That's actually a really good point.

That dickhead Rory Jennings and people like that are now like "see, we said spurs were shit and spursy, Conte has proven it"

We shouldn't listen to these prats from other fanbases who will be more than happy to stick a boot in.

The same people who were putting Tottenham down under Poch and when we were doing fantastic.

Too many of are fans listened.

Of course we shouldn't be happy with somethings but we shouldn't listen to other fan bases when ot comes to who we are or what qe want to do.

There have been songs for Poch in the concourses at Wolves, both before and after match, and after the game in the week.
I fully expect that to change tomorrow and will be very surprised if you don’t hear “He’s magic you know” in the stands.
Could set off some Spurs on Spurs , but I am certain will happen and I will be singing along with it when it does. (I will admit I was singing it in the ground as far back as last few minutes of the league cup at Forest)
So even though you admit it's an inflammatory thing to do, with the possibility of inciting Spur on Spur violence, you're going to go ahead and do it anyway?!

Am I the only one here who thinks that's an absolute twat move?

Whatever the thoughts on Conte, Levy, Poch or whatever, that sort of shit mentality really isn't needed.

Why does he keep going on about being so far off and needing patience?

There's nothing to like about our football....zero.

Whats he on about

We play the worst football in the division. I can’t thing of a team who is as boring as us. Wolves maybe? If I didn’t support us and we were on tv there is no way I’d bother tuning in for one of our games.

His comments on Danjuma have cracked me up and prove he has lost the plot.

Aside from saying he’s a club signing, he says he doesn’t really have the characteristics for the number 10 role and is more of a winger or second striker.

Now that sentence on its own might not seem too bad but when you consider he is playing Son and Richarlison as 10s despite them being the complete opposite profile of a 10 it’s absolutely hilarious and proves he’s inept. If anything Danjuma would suit the position MORE than those two because he’s better technically! And I’m not even saying he’d definitely be amazing for us or anything.

It’s just showing how clueless Conte’s analysis of the system and his player profiles are. How on Earth can he say Danjuma isn’t fit for the 10 role but Son and Richarlison are 😂😂😂
Tbh although I agree with the point you’re making I think his comments were more aimed at Levy than anything. It’s very clear he wanted Zaniolo and the skill set he has and doesn’t see Danjuma as the same profile player (which he isn’t). Essentially he’s saying I asked for X player and Levy gave me Z player. As much as I feel sorry for Danjuma who is clearly stuck in the middle and not at fault, Levy should certainly be held accountable because he’s done this countless times. Buying a player the manager didn’t want because he was cheap and vaguely resembles the one the manager did actually want.

So violence in the name of Poch.

Some of you guys are just creepy and weird with this infatuation over him.

I am certainly not going to start it, no
But will I sing out my support along with many many others for a new manager if/when it gets started, , certainly. And to honest it is long overdue, the paying support has been very patient.

ive noticed over the years that we tend to sack managers after a win (preceeded by a string of poor results) - hoping for a win tomorrow
We drew at Everton then sacked Jose
We drew at home to Sheff Utd then sacked Poch

I imagine he’s aware of the pile of cash on the table if he either lasts until May or is forced out and doesn’t want to do anything that could justify being fired for cause and not paid out.

If he was that interested in cash he'd sign the contract extension that's allegedly sitting on his desk right now.

Imagine the morale of the players for tomorrows game. Especially after the post match presser on Wednesday, and these quotes today.

They won’t be daft either, they will see social media and every journo asking what is the point of Conte still being there.

Add in the the fact the stadium will have a chunk of empty seats, if the ticket exchange is anything to go by.

Yet Levy thinks keeping him on till the end of the season is a good idea?

I’m now wondering if it is self sabotage. The dressing room must be fed up.

I'd totally agree with chanting against Levy but just don't see the point of chanting for a manager that we don't have, very possibly won't get and who a large chunk of the fanbase don't want.

Just doesn't make sense to me because I can't see the point of it.

My only concern with all this Conte-bashing, is that the heat is off Levy. He bears more responsibility for this shit show than Conte, we must not lose sight of that.
That's spot on mate, I've said in levy thread that we need to leave him in no doubt at home games exactly what we think of him

Reputation management and absolving himself of any blame.

Previously I just wanted rid of him but the more he shits on the club while taking no responsibility for how we have performed the season the more I am really starting to dislike him.

Hopefully levy grows a pair soon and fucks him out

I find fans with this attitude moronic but if it makes you happy.....

Chanting against Levy is cringe as f*ck.
Why do you find it cringey?
It's pretty much the only way fans have if making their feeling towards him known and for me, much more productive than the above example of chanting for a manager we don't even have (like a bunch of forlorn and love lost teenage girls!).

It’s not even prime Stoke mate, at least everyone knew what they were about and how they played!
They might not have been everyone’s cup of tea but they weren’t as bad as watching us at the moment….
