Come on, Antonio, there is a line.

Your health is important, yes you shouldn't kill yourself in the job but you shouldn't come out and say the bollocks you are stating.

Instead, what you should do is walk away and be honest. Yes, you cannot and don't want to fix this, but you are happy to collect the remainder of your salary.

Levy and ENIC deserve all the criticism they get and I am right on at them. They don't properly back coaches.

But, there is a line. We are not expecting miracle to beat Middlesbrough, Sheffield United or Milan. You have had 60m Richarlison and Perisic, yet you still haven't given us progress??

It's really not a good look for you. Acknowledge it hasn't been good enough and own the things you are responsible for.

I'd have a ton of respect if he'd just have come out and said that he hasn't been himself and the health issues mean that he has to stay home.
I have think he may walk tomorrow night if the result and performance yields zero points. I just think that the pressure and toxicity will be too much to bear.

"I hope, I hope please until the end I don't want to speak about my future, because I think it would be very difficult to be more clear than today."

Is it just me, but I'm still totally in the dark on whether he wants to manage us next season. It really is not a difficult question.
Is it we are meant to infer this from the fact that he never answers the question? Never says he wants to continue to manage us?

This is a guy who has no tolerance and walks out of clubs for perceived insults. Yet his decisions are now being openly questioned by the players, media and the fans. He is one small step from being directly booed by 60k fans. Why is he still here?

All I can think is he has already resigned and it is all agreed he leaves in a couple of months. He holds onto that to get him through the days.
Good luck with that plan.

There have been songs for Poch in the concourses at Wolves, both before and after match, and after the game in the week.
I fully expect that to change tomorrow and will be very surprised if you don’t hear “He’s magic you know” in the stands.
Could set off some Spurs on Spurs , but I am certain will happen and I will be singing along with it when it does. (I will admit I was singing it in the ground as far back as last few minutes of the league cup at Forest)

It is actually very clear. He has no intention of being here and it seems the feeling is mutual.

Conte's achievements as a manger are in a different ballpark to Poch's.
As far as European competitions go, you have to dig really, really, really deep to find a manager that has been worse taking account squads he has had in disposal.

Fair to say Conte is one of the worst coaches in the history of UEFA competitions?

His comments on Danjuma have cracked me up and prove he has lost the plot.

Aside from saying he’s a club signing, he says he doesn’t really have the characteristics for the number 10 role and is more of a winger or second striker.

Now that sentence on its own might not seem too bad but when you consider he is playing Son and Richarlison as 10s despite them being the complete opposite profile of a 10 it’s absolutely hilarious and proves he’s inept. If anything Danjuma would suit the position MORE than those two because he’s better technically! And I’m not even saying he’d definitely be amazing for us or anything.

It’s just showing how clueless Conte’s analysis of the system and his player profiles are. How on Earth can he say Danjuma isn’t fit for the 10 role but Son and Richarlison are 😂😂😂

Even more bizarre when the 10's are close to a hybrid of a winger and a second striker, odd stuff.

My only concern with all this Conte-bashing, is that the heat is off Levy. He bears more responsibility for this shit show than Conte, we must not lose sight of that.

While I was desperate to get rid of Nuno, I never had problem with him. He seemed like a nice bloke on a wrong place. Nor had I problem with Jose when it was inevitable that his time had run out. Now as for Conte, every time he opens his mouth, he says some utter shit that makes this not only about the job he is doing, but also about him as person.

ive noticed over the years that we tend to sack managers after a win (preceeded by a string of poor results) - hoping for a win tomorrow

I think some obviously just want to see Conte gone now and are letting emotion hang on every single word he says.

Everyone agrees there are bigger problems to be had at the club, yet are using Conte as the main focus point of anger, perfect for the board and Levy and co.

In Poch's final season, the one for him crying out for a rebuild - there are still 6 players that featured in his last match at the club today. 1 that didn't feature (sess) is still here, as well as 3 players (GLC, Ndombele, Winks) that featured that are still contracted to the club.

We've heard Poch, Jose, and now Conte say that this squad isn't good enough. Yes it can produce better football and better results, but unlikely for sustainable periods of a season. How can 10 players be contracted to the club through the tenure of FOUR different managers? Yet, they get none of the blame.

I don't trust this club to pick the next right manager, I don't trust them with the vision currently, so I really don't care when Conte goes, and I would actually be pleased if the club didn't make a rash decision just to please some over the next few weeks before the cracks start appearing again in 6-12 months time.

A dov post that’s not in blue, I never thought I’d see the day. Also, we all saw your name and got excited so now you’ll have to do something to make up for it.

Nudes will suffice.

Exactly. The way our fanbase latch onto something and from then on nothing that person says or does is right in anyway is fucking idiotic. Zero critical thinking or balance involved. Just moan moan moan, whinge whinge whinge. It's been happening to Levy for a while but now it's Conte.

It's just confirms to me that a lot of fans default position on being a supporter is to moan and whinge. Because there is literally no point in crying about Conte's comments. He's leaving the football club at the end of the season, if not before. He's tried his best and it hasn't worked. He's not trying to purposely antagonise anyone. You'll probably even find he's more pissed off with himself than anyone that hasn't worked out.

There is something more subtle and interesting going on here.

I honestly think that the fanbase has had an inferiority complex foisted upon it by rival fans, the media and circumstance. We are way too down on the team and the club compared to other fans. Our top players are too good for us and we should all pity them for being here, Conte is doing us a favour by joining etc. The negativity is corosive. No one hates Tottenham more than us.

So when we have managers who play into this, like Mourinho and Conte, who tell us that we cannot expect more or that other teams like Chelsea or Milan are light years beyond us; it's really damaging. Even though Conte wasn't necessarily out of line (nor was Redknapp), I really think we need positivity and promotion from the manager. We should be proud of what we've accomplished and excited about building further, increasing spending etc.

Conte had a lot of good traits but we cannot have a manger that even slightly tends towards negativity, it doesn't work for this fanbase.

We’ve basically been put in the friend zone when it comes to Conte and Levy dealing with each other. As bad as each other.

Reminds me of a song…

‘Oh Conte, Conte will you marry me with your titles, cups and class’.

‘Oh no sweet spurs I cannot marry you because I don’t have players that are any good’.

So off we go with our war chest and bring him some players (but not) of the very very best’

‘Oh Conte, Conte will you marry me with your titles, cups and class’

‘Oh no sweet spurs I cannot marry you because I have no players I can trust’.

So off Paratici goes with his war chest and bring in some players but not the very very best.

‘Oooooooh Conte Conte will you marry me with your titles, cups and class’

‘Oh no sweet spurs I cannot marry you, because you’re just not ready to compete’

So off we go with our war chest and bring him some players that he only sends for tests.

‘Oh Conte Conte will you marry me, even with your fucking constant requests’

‘Oh no sweet Spurs I cannot marry you because I need a bigger war chest’.

So off we go to our war chest and instead find a go kart track of the very very best.

‘Oh Conte Conte won’t you marry us with our go kart track’

‘Oh, fuck off Daniel’.

I imagine he’s aware of the pile of cash on the table if he either lasts until May or is forced out and doesn’t want to do anything that could justify being fired for cause and not paid out.

Just watched the press conference. Jesus Christ we've fucking broke Conte. Shame.
I don't accept that. Conte knew what he was signing up for when he joined us and he's constantly reminded us that we've no right to expect things from him or the team. He's fine accepting a PL winning manager's wage though.

I don't think our expectations were particularly high either. Neither have we broken him, he's broken himself and he's also clearly suffering from personal bereavements.

A number of things have happened that have caused this to go tits up:

1) The style of play is results based, when they go awry, there's little room for understanding.
2) He's hellbent on clearing himself of any blame, even when he's clearly to blame - that we will be trophyless this season is his fault. That Sheffield United defeat was unacceptable. We don't need a 24 month project to beat a 2nd string Championship side.
3) Arsenal's success has heightened our own failures. If they were 9th now, we wouldn't be this panicky.
4) The personal losses he's suffered have clearly had a massive effect on him and he's clearly wanting to be somewhere else, in Italy with his family namely. At this level, 99.5% isn't enough.

So so so spot on I’ve said this for ages that our club needs positivity and lifting upwards which is exactly why Jol Redknapp and Poch have been the best for us because they made us believe.

All Jose and Conte have done is made us depressed and hopeless, that is not what we need.
