Is it just me or is the fact that Villa are going down isn't getting the attention it deserves?
They're one of the small number of clubs that have been part of the Premier League since the beginning. A few years ago they were going toe-to-toe with us in the race to qualify for the CL. They're undoubtedly the biggest club in the Midlands, and have a pretty big following.
I've always seen Villa as a similar club to Spurs and Everton - a club with a rich history and a lot of supporters, but which has failed to achieve modern day success. The fact that they're obviously going down seems to have been accepted rather casually, when for me it would be one of the most notable relegations since Leeds thankfully vanished from relevant football.
Never used to have an issue with Villa until some twat called HoltLegend on 606 used to routinely troll the Spurs forum, followed by briefly living with a monumental fuckwit of a Villa season ticket holder. For me, Villa's pathetic form is one of the biggest and most amusing stories of the season.
