Perhaps he can shake contes hand on the way out 🫢Think he means because Tuchel is/was a Spurs fan or we were his favourite English club .

Let’s hire Tuchel just for the meme and social media announcement video potential alone, never mind the fact he absolutely schooled Conte every time we played them and his teams actually try to press and attack.Perhaps he can shake contes hand on the way out 🫢
I wouldn't say what i'm about to suggest is evidence of any 'DNA' but he absolutely gets the history at Spurs. When he brought Dortmund over for a CL tie he was full of praise and respect for the club, it's traditions and history so he's well aware. Now that doesn't mean he'd be a good choice, it actually doesn't mean that much in real terms, but it was nice to hear his appreciation of the club.
Would he be the right choice? To be honest, I don't think there's such a thing given how this club rolls. So meh, whoever.
Agree completely, however just wanted to point out that they actually made the final in 2019, narrowly losing to Flamengo 2-1 in injury time. That's an unfair analysis for Gallardo. Specially if you don't have context.
You can't win Libertadores and local league. Rosters in South America are not as big as in Europe . You have the first team, and probably a good bench (in the case of the top teams). But you don't have enough players to go 100% in every competition. I can't recall the last team that won Libertadores and local league. Not in Brazil or Argentina.
Gallardo started in 2014 and won the first international cup he played. Copa Sudamericana (equivalent of UEFA Cup). Following year he won the Copa Libertadores at the first try.
Before his tenure River Plate had only 2 cups. This has always been his focus. Local league has always been a mix of first team and reserves. (River has the most leagues in Argentina, they want more cups)
His record in the CL is
2015 - Winner
2016 - Round of 16
2017 - Semifinals
2018 - Winner
2019 - Semifinals
2020 - Semifinals
2021 - Quarter Finals
2022 - Round of 16
Gallardo's impact in River has been similar to Klopp in Liverpool
He "absolutely gets the history at Spurs" does he? He isn't/wasn't, he liked our name that's it.Think he means because Tuchel is/was a Spurs fan or we were his favourite English club .
Ah so not a tottenham fan thenHe "absolutely gets the history" does he? He didn't even know we were from London.
Here is the quote from the Dortmund game.
"I just have something to say because as a little kid in my garden when I played I was always a team from the Bundesliga, of course, but there was one game I played with my friends when I was Tottenham Hotspur because I liked the name so much.
"I had not a picture, I did not even know that they play in London and so on. For me to play them in two legs was very special and when what I didn't know as a kid, what I felt today and yesterday, so many friendly people here in around the club.
"The coaching staff, first of all, from the opponent, team and all staff around down in the stadium in front of the dressing rooms at the benches and so on was unbelievable. Such great support, such a good atmosphere and so many friendly people made us feel very, very welcome."
Well that's it then, lol. Young kid from Germany didn't know where the "almighty" Tottenham Hotspur were from. England - the holy grail of football. What a disgrace! He "absolutely gets the history at Spurs" does he? He didn't even know we were from London.
TT is a no from me. Just cos he looks like Mcauley Culkin circa Home Alone
Flamengo won both Brasilerão Campeonato and Libertadores underJorge Jesus in 2019.That's an unfair analysis for Gallardo. Specially if you don't have context.

Why not Tuchel. He has spurs dna and wouldn’t stand for this soft under belly stuff. Also he fits the DNA profile of aggressive high energy. He had us completely under the kosh when we played Chelsea at the beginning of the season.
Go on, just one more and then that’s it.NO. MORE. CHELSEA. MANAGERS
Lampard?Go on, just one more and then that’s it.
Well that rules out a Hoddle return.NO. MORE. CHELSEA. MANAGERS
A legendary team!Buzzing for next season when the new coach gives everyone a clean slate.
Lloris
Perro Romero Dier Reggi
Holjberg
Winks N’Dombele Le Celso
Son Kane
what a team! Silverware is on its way!
Not sure how much difference a new manager will make. We might get a lift short term, and we’ll be back in this situation again in 12-18 months. Round and round in circles…
