Wolfsburg just signed waldschmit, so they’ve already got a replacement

And paid 14m euros. Not cheap for Bundesliga standards.....

Would love Weghorst. Great target man, gets best of players around him. 29 years old but he doesnt rely on his pace at all.

I know there's a lot of love for Weghorst amongst these parts. I am not familiar with him; but I do have a question - I see that he has a very impressive games to goals ratio at his current and last clubs (just over a goal every 2 games): but, why has he been capped so few times for Holland?
He was awful for Holland in the Euros imo

The reported €48m for Traore is steeeeeeeeeep.

Probably about right for a premier league-proven winger that can terrorise any defence in Europe.

Ben White went for £50m - these are just the going rates nowadays, we're not in 2014 anymore unfortunately.

Was it not said near the start we would keep an eye on him again, as it's not a priority singing?

If he is available and they are trying to offload him, we just wait until someone else goes for him or low ball them in the last few days and see how much they drop again.

It seems like until we shift at least one or two of our surplus midfielders, any additions in the middle of the park are going to have to go on the back burner.

We desperately need a creative midfielder. But I doubt we sign one if we can't shift Ndombele & Sissoko
It should be one out, one in in midfield IMO.

For me, we've already replaced Sissoko with Skipp. We all reflexively think of Sissoko as a box-to-box player but so often in his Spurs career he was called upon to play the No. 6 role, even though he wasn't truly suited to it. Skipp can play both of those roles and has done very well for a young academy product getting his first real crack at the first team, IMO.

We should be all over Auoar if Ndombele leaves, his stats are unreal and he produces a lot of what we'd be missing by letting Tanguy go. If we find a club to take Ndombele we'll need a like-for-like replacement, and Auoar is the best we've been linked with so far. I have my reservations about his attitude but unless a better option presents itself, I'm happy with Auoar.

For me, McKennie should take Winks' spot in the squad. I know Nuno has been said to have given Winks a reprieve, but we've now got a chance to sign a 22 year old midfielder who was fantastic for Juve last season at a bargain price. It would be a damn shame if we allowed him to go to Villa just for the sake of giving Winks yet another chance. We need to move forward, we need to be ruthless.

To be honest no idea. Even when he was flying for Wolfsburg FDB was still ignoring him when he came in. I think we all know now that says more about FDB than Weghorst....

Aouar and McKennie would be the dream, but if Winks wants to sit on his contract then what can we do?

We also need to find a willing buyer for Ndombele and his 200k a week wages - can't see it happening tbh
