Essex is cut off again no trains out of Essex and no trains on the Northumberland park line, parked at Epping last week but I reckon that will be full this week what with it being later. I'm thinking of driving through London to Uxbridge and catching the Piccadilly line back to Cockfosters and thumbing a lift to the game. I know its a stupid idea but so is closing the rail fucking network northeast of London the bastards.

Bishops Stortford is running into WHL today if that is any use?

Interested to find out if anyway waited at WHL after the game on Saturday to see how long roughly it took to get on a train? Both games I arrived on the WHL train but walked to Seven Sisters to avoid standing around for too long with a knee problem. Got to my home station in good time for both.

Coming over from Dublin for game tomorrow, like a kid. Flying in to Stansted and then train to Tottenham Hale and back same way after game. Only other time I've been over I've used seven sisters route. Guessing Tottenham Hale is fine to walk to after the game?

Has anyone or does anyone make the walk to Wood Green on the Piccadilly line?

Using Google Maps isn't an exact science but it almost looks the same distance as Seven Sisters give or take a few steps but I never see it mentioned anywhere as an option and the walk looks simple enough across Lordship Lane from the High Road.

Anybody try it in the past? Might be an option with an extra 26,000 people now to contend with on match days?

They are running free shuttle buses from Wood Green station. You do need to register and book a ticket though (at least 12 hours before kick off)

It’s no bother at all mate, I’ve always preferred going back that way to seven sisters for some reason and if anything I reckon it’s a quicker walk

Just a heads up the M11 was closed between Stansted and Harlow this morning, it probably won't be a problem later but anyone using it might want to check before hand.

I came home via Seven Sisters tonight - is the kettling thing usual? I stayed for a beer after the game and was hoping it would be clear by then?

The kettling was a nightmate. Was really worried I'd miss the train from Vauxhall to home. Took me a little under an hour to get from my seat at WHL to Vauxhall station.

I wonder what it was like getting the train from WHL to Enfield.

First time I have used public transport to get to/from WHL last night after years of driving, and it was nothing short of a nightmare.

Firstly, despite being absolutely sure I'd bought the right tickets for my route, I got stuck at nearly every fucking train station barrier I encountered, which as you can imagine is a bit embarrassing with 1000 blokes behind trying to push you through. Walking back from the North stand to Seven Sisters was a joke, to say the crowd control was halfhearted is an understatement. Like @Primativ I thought I was going to miss my train from Vauxhall - made it with seconds to spare.

Did anyone who drove to the game last night use the car parks situated just off the North Circular down Queen Street, are they even still in existence? I used to use the Booker Wholesale car park, but there are a couple more down there. I might have to revert back to driving.

PM me if you don't want it to be too widely known.

I came out of Northumberland park and walked down Garman road to see how it looked as that's where I always parked, the on road bays where you could park and pay by phone seem to have been replaced by permit holders only with only a couple of lengths left so it seems they have actually reduced the number of spaces for parking. My problem with permit holder parking is I don't know who has a permit as nobody lives down that road it's all factories. The little industry site looks like it is still open for parking but I don't know what they are charging now and it seemed full by five o'clock yesterday anyway.

Yeah I kind of get the impression that they're working to try and force people in to using public transport to get to and from games - which is great until you try and shove 60k people in to 3 or 4 stations at the same time.

Can anyone provide any tips on places offering off street parking near the ground?

I struggled to find somewhere last night so any tips would be much appreciated.

Yes, I struggled too. Prior to Wembley, I had been parking in the North Middlesex Hospital Car Park without any problems. It was always no more than half full so it wasn't anti -social and I felt happy paying the fee to the Hospital funds. So, I confidently arrived there( I drive over 100 miles) arriving at 4pm to find absolute bedlam with cars circling around. Whether this was anything to do with the game I couldn't tell but obviously if you need to park at the Hospital itself , it is a bad situation. So, in a bit of a dilemma, I set off down Pretoria Road to look for any private parking as I had seen some before. The only one was the Irish Club which was already full. I found myself turning left into White Hart Lane and there was a Van Hire place with cars going in so I followed but was rather shocked to be told £30 !! By this time , I was getting quite rattled and just happened to have exactly £30 in my wallet so went for it as a one off. It was only because I knew the stadium was ' cashless' or I would have only had loose change left. Annoyingly, I walked further towards the ground and there was an Industrial Estate with a £20 parking sign outside, so I think I was a bit ripped off but needs must and all that.
I'm going to the City game. Public transport isn't an option. I come off the North Circular road from the West, so I too would be grateful for any suggestions.
