So with all the changes in and around the area and improvements on train lines what are the best routes into / out of the ground? (Heading from/towards central London)

Always used to get Victoria line to Seven Sisters then walk from there as liked the build up and buzz of the crowd but what are the best / easiest routes for WHL or Northumberland Park?

Easiest route for Northumberland Park from central London is probably Liverpool Street on the national rail, takes about 15/20 mins and a 5 minute walk to the stadium. Also the same amount of time roughly on the London Overground from Stratford to Northumberland park. I have a friend who does track/overhead maintenance for network rail and he told me that WHL station is so far behind schedule that it won't be open for test events and not at full capacity for the first league games so best to avoid WHL for a while.

EDIT: WHL station is open for the test events but with limited access, but Northumberland Park is not open at all.

No trains to Northumberland Park on Sunday. WHL is the only option.

Guess this is the best place to ask.

I'll be driving over from Stevenage and always used to park up near the shops at the junction of the A10 and White Hart Lane, they then expanded the no parking zone so I couldn't and was pushed further north up the A10 - anyone know if this is still viable or if the exclusion zone has been expanded?

Has anyone or does anyone make the walk to Wood Green on the Piccadilly line?

Using Google Maps isn't an exact science but it almost looks the same distance as Seven Sisters give or take a few steps but I never see it mentioned anywhere as an option and the walk looks simple enough across Lordship Lane from the High Road.

Anybody try it in the past? Might be an option with an extra 26,000 people now to contend with on match days?

I used to live about mid way between the two, shouldn't take more than about half an hour as I recall so it might be not a bad idea.

I was contemplating parachuting straight into the stadium.

However, some bloke Klopp on twitter reckons it'll be too windy. (n)

I do, take the W3 to the game then walk back. Walk a bit further as I live just up from Wood Green, but same thing. It's an okay walk, the bit on my route just before New River Sports centre and after the A10 can really drag, especially after a loss. The walk down Lordship Lane is pretty straight though.

Thanks lads. Will definitely give it a try once to test it out.

I'm coming from Victoria way, so relieved to see WHL is running when I read the other day it wasn't. Don't fancy the walk from Seven Sisters on a dodgy knee.

I went to look at the ground last week and walked down lordship lane from Turnpike Lane and it took me 30 minutes. Nice comfortable walk that took me through Bruce castle park, I must say there's a wonderful view of the stadium from the park!
Your other option is to just walk down White Hart lane, the other end of which is Wood Green.

Thanks for the info spursphil.

This is sounding more and more like the route I will test out for the first trip to the stadium.

Thought the W3 starts at A10/WHL on matchdays? That goes to Wood Green, Ally Pally, Crouch End and Finsbury Park.

Change of plan and looking at coming in by train. Looks to be Stevenage > Finsbury Park > Seven Sisters and then either bus or walk. Anyone done this or similar - how's the walk/bus?

it's a shame I don't/can't go more often. could of made arrangements to pick you up and drop you off, but I have to be there at least 2hours before KO, and stay at least 1 hour after but will be hopefully parked under the stadium itself

Walk is probably about 30 minutes. Bus will probably be quicker than that but depends how close to kickoff how busy the road is - it's a straight line up the high road so you should be able to see what the traffic's like and judge for yourself.
