“Tottenham’s pursuit of the England Under-21 international comes as they prepare to offload their right-back Kyle Walker."

I wish we still had him to offload!

Sorry, I don't follow these things as closely as I used to, but I'd never heard of Aarons before last Wednesday. Had no idea we were looking at him either. Which makes this story a pleasant surprise, because I thought he really was excellent against us. Unusual that a rando player you've never heard of catches your eye in a game, but he certainly did.

On a sadder note, I'm not sure what I'm missing about KWP: each time I saw him I thought he was very good and highly promising. Guess they're not convinced behind the scenes, and it seems that's true of both Poch and Jose's staffs.

Would be fantastic but don't see it happening. I can only see us buying from the Premier League if a player is unwanted or has less than a year left on their contract.

I would love us to sign Aarons, looks a fantastic prospect. With so much restructuring to be done I share others scepticism because of the alleged price. We've generally done best signing younger players and developing them ..... Bale, Modric, Dele etc rather than CL rivals
cast-offs such as Aurier. Can't see us going toe to toe with City, Liv and co this summer so younger players the way forward.

I would disagree, I've watched him a few times & haven't been that impressed & I'm not convinced he's that much better than KWP.

he was great against us. But not sure he’d be very good against a top 6 club.

Maybe not the best indicator, but Whoscored sees his game ratings as some of the best against Liverpool, United and Leicester alike.

That said, second match against United and match against Chelsea, he was given a rating below average.

That to me suggests he can play against top 6, but maybe a bit more consistency in general is needed.

Hardly surprising when you consider he only turned 20 three weeks ago.
