Maddison is a good player but hes also on record as saying he absolutely hates Spurs. I know people grow up and all that jazz but supporting a club is a lifelong thing and frankly I dont want success to come off the back of somebody who outright hated our club.

Weve had people who supported Arsenal play for us but at the very least they didnt come out talking about how much they hate spurs.

Dinamo have a decent chance of finishing second in group stages of CL, then Olmo will be available only in summer. We should still look to sign him ASAP even if it means waiting for him, perfect replacement for Eriksen. I think we will go for Fernandes instead though.
Yes I would love Olmo, he's like a Poundland Messi and that's a compliment.

Yeah he from what I read of that court case and then subsoquent reactions from fans who has interacted with him hes a complete bellend.

I know people want to win at all costs and to some itll be all about what he does on the pitch but I dont want to revel in the success off of the back of somebody who spoke about my club that way. Supporting a club is an irrational endeveour and thus I refuse to entertain the idea of that little wanker playing for us no matter what age he said it at.

Realistically, I think we could bring someone like Atal in January, especially if Nice remain mediocre in the Ligue 1.

Berge is another one I could see us bringing, but I'm not sure if he is the player we need. I think Sangaré is going to be available only in the summer, but worth the shot trying.

Dybala is a possibility because Juve desperately needs to sell some of their players, but we will have to wait and see how the Serie A will look in a few months. He is obviously the hardest target. Maybe Bruno Fernandes would be easier and he would be a good complement to Lo Celso.

Three new players in January may be enough to renew the squad for now, reach the top four and have a good run in the Champions League. And in the summer be absolutely relentless in the rebuild.

Lobotka playing extremely well for Slovakia right now, although I think He's very similar to Lo Celso, just mentioning as we were linked before.

A centre half who could take control and two fast fullbacks, and a top class goalkeeper be cause we don't have none of the above

If nothing else we need an attacking full back like Atal or similar. It would give us a better balance and be another outlet which none of the current give us on a regular basis.

Who was that argentina midfielder everybody was adamant was joining madrid recently?

Edit: Exequiel Palacios I believe, wonder what he's been doing.

My thought too. He broked his leg so quiet since then.

We need to get back to having 2 fast, dynamic fullbacks as that allows Poch system to work at its best.

The recovery pace of Walker and Rose, plus their ability to defend 1 on 1 with pace, strength and tenacity, made it very, very difficult for teams to get at us down the wings. Even when they got in behind, both our fullbacks were so quick to recover.

This is one of the big reasons we had such a good defensive record (along with a strong DM and good CBs).

I think we should be keeping a close eye on Yari Verschaeren from Anderlecht. He's an 18 year old AM (19 next summer), doing very well for them and is a Hazard style player.

Already made his full international debut for Belgium and scored a penalty which he earned last night against San Marino.

Looks a really good little player, can play across the AM and wouldn't cost much if we go in for him early. I feel these are the kinds of young signings we stopped making.

The enthusiasm towards signing AMs and wingers doesn’t resonate with me. Even sans Eriksen, end of this season we have Dele, Lamela, Lucas, Son and (hopefully) Lo Celso all on long deals. A lot of competition when we play with either 3 or 2 in that role (Lo Celso would only play CM in a 3, not a 2). Then there’s Sessegnon potentially (depending on how he develops) and future Ballon d’or winner (I’m serious) Jack Clarke.

CM? Yes. In Ndombele, Winks, Sissoko we have three players far more useful on the ball then off it. Dier and Wanyama are meant to be the complement, but neither seems to be able to rediscover themselves. Skipp could be great but he’s young, he should be our 5 choice CM now, get minutes, replace Sissoko in 2 seasons when he’s cooked. We need to sell Dier and Wanyama and replace with one player to do that job. I live in hope that Dier might re-emerge but it doesn’t seem likely, therefore we need a win at all costs fighter who can protect our defence and be a leader going forward. I was actually gutted that there was nothing in the Kelvin Phillips rumours, though I know most would deride my opinion here, but I can’t help but watch him and think he’d fit in seamlessly, not least because of the manager he’s under. If we’re going higher profile/ top league proven, then Ndidi would be great if we could afford the premium that would be attached as Leicester are in a very strong position.

Yeah he was highly sought after if I recall, I just mention as we're supposedly scouting in Argentina but I'm not sure he's what we're crying out for atm.
