Ahh Bale... of course.... I fear my pants will remain firmly wedged up my bum rather than ripped off and twirled around my head in celebration but you never know.

This PR machine bollocks was debunked pretty emphatically by Trix a couple weeks back.
It does seem like a bit of a weird PR move.

"Hey guys, you know what fans really love? Let's get really close to signing a huge player on the final day then pull the plug and MASSIVELY disappoint everyone. If we do it in every window they'll fucking LOVE us."

Like honestly, how many fans even use the "at least we tried" line? I'd say there's more a general sense of deflation and "what could have been..." after sagas like Moutinho, Bale and Dybala rather than respect for Levy and the club.

Bitch, please.

He's 5'4" and wears a women's size 6. I'm 6'0" and look like a brickie in a wig and heels.

If we were allowed photos in this thread I'd post our respective drag pics for your arousal.
We've made it this far, don't ruin it now.

He had a release clause, that wasn't Salzburg "letting him go".

Fair enough I think there was other quality players who have moved and some a couple who play as strikers although depends on what you consider quality. My point was if you're willing to pay then you can get quality players in Jan, we already proved that ourselves in Bergwijn and to an extent Gedson (based on thr cost of the option). I just don't think we're willing to further than that, that's not a dig it's just an opinion that we're probably not willing to pay the money needed for a quality forward but if we were then I'm sure clubs would be willing to deal. Who knows maybe Spurs will show another example of buying a quality asset because they were willing to pay up by signing Bale.

I had a dream last night that we signed Jann-Fiete Arp on loan. He's that kid that models himself on Harry Kane. I wake up and see we're actually after Benteke.

I'm going back to sleep.

I don't think signing a 20 year old who has managed 76 mins in the Bayern B-team as a loan would be the best choice though.

I mean maybe a similar hair type/colour but facial features are all wrong. Nose is completely different, totally different bone structure as well.

For goodness sake, why don't we just go 433 for the rest of this season now(ample options) and have Parrot on the bench. Kane may be back for last few weeks. None of the options are what we really want long term.

Reckon A&C would make an exception for that.

Bowen to wet spam is a blow - although we can buy him in the summer when they are relegated
