maybe the guy suggesting Josh King who is Norwiegan had something?
In terms of Hamlet references that is definitely the most logical way to incorporate King of Norway. That's as far as it goes though IMO.

Why, with 2 days to go are there cryptics? Is someone going to come in and steal this player away? If remotely likely then their agent is doing the right job.

I'd guess because there are 2 days to go, and Barca, Utd, Chelsea, Inter and us are all technically looking for a Striker.

Haven't we heard several times recently that we've been speaking to about four different strikers? No need to think that we're not going to sign one just because one of them has joined another team.

Two days is plenty of time time for a club to hijack another club’s deal.

Look how much goes down on deadline day alone. Look at Chelsea leapfrogging us to Willian.

Hell, look at Sissoko refusing to take Everton’s calls when Spurs started calling.

Loads of time left for clubs to be outbid at this stage.

Also, let’s say we’re looking to buy a player from Team A for £25m. Team A are negotiating a replacement with Team B for £15m. Team B get wind of us offering £25m for Team A’s outgoing player, and suddenly up their own price to £25m.

In summary, loads of reasons why we have cryptics and why there is a lot of secrecy even this late in the window.

That, and the bastards pulling the Goat’s horns enjoy fucking with us.

Blocks path for Parrott, not better up front than Son, would want a good £200k a week, difficult to sell once we realise he’s still shit, would have an absolute **** up front that the fans don’t like and would turn on in weeks - leading to an even more toxic atmosphere at the ground. Shit personality and attitude that can rob off. Just imo innit, but then I’m not so desperate for signings I’ll salivate at any washed-up old shite.
JM has said that Parrott isn't ready to play yet; that he can't just step into the shoes of someone as irreplaceable as Kane.

That's why he wants to send him out on loan.

A type of soil is clay.

And -ton as a suffix can be indicative of a small town, settlement, village or farm, which is also what a hamlet is.

That gives us Clayton.

And, of the many Claytons out there playing football, I note one Clayton da Silva, with silver here representing treasure or reward.

Unfortunately, I don't think we're likely to be in for a winger from the Brazilian league, so I tried again.

Another synonym of soil is marl. It's a kind of lime-rich mud, but you knew that.

'Upon' is 'on'.

And Hamlet was a King (or rather Hamlet's dad, who was also called Hamlet, was a king).

Which gives us...

Marlon King.

Hmm. Back to the drawing board, methinks...

Willian José da Silva, better known as willian José. Hamlet the revenge play; we were shat on by Jose/Chelsea Re Willian. Now we’re returning with a vengeance and getting Willian (da Silva: reward)

The eventual Scandinavian link to the cryptic and Hercules sensitivity makes me think of Joshua King of Bournemouth. Man United have been linked with him as well, hence the sensitivity at this stage. I think he’d be a far better complement to Kane than for example Piatek.

Not a bad shout that, he can play out wide if I remember correctly too

That’ll show Chelsea ...

Hah! :ROFLMAO: I’d love to get Trix’s view on this. Would have thought that if the player was genuinely ‘available’ then the agent may let every possible destination know. Unless the player is ‘wedded’ to a potential club then I’d have thought it would all be about terms etc. And, if it gets to cryptics on a fairly public forum then most of the industry must surely know. Hoops doesn’t seem to be in a very playful mood tonight :(
