People keep saying Berba would be good cover 'for 6 months'. Im certain he would not sign a contract for 6 months, he will be looking for 18 months to 2 1/2 years. And pretty big wages for that time. We wont be doing it. Financially it would be stupid

I highly doubt Hernandez would be happy to come to us and be 3rd choice. If he wants to leave Utd it will be for first team football especially with the World Cup looming. I doubt he would be starting ahead of Ade or Soldado.

If we did re-sign Berbatov, it would be on our terms, not his.

Geez we aren't living in 1978 - in certain positions and the strikers is one of them there is no such thing as first choice, squad game with enough opp for all

Yeah, we really seem to have a blind spot with strikers. I think its because we spent so long trying to sign one, everyone can't conceive of us having quality on the bench.

Other clubs have regognised how inportant it is to have competiton up front. Utd under Fergie and currently. City and Liverpool. Even Everton and Newcastle have recognised it and are trying to strenghten there.

Only Arsenal and Chelsea seem happy to stick with a smaller number of strikers. However, they are brimming with quality attacking goal scoring midfielders.

Sorry there is no way that Berbatov is on massive wages at Fulham.

It depends who else is in for him though.

He has a much better chance of securing a first team spot at Spurs then at Utd for the rest of this season.

Just been scanning through this thread and there seems to be very little if any actual ITK. Shouldn't we just start a "I'd like so and so to come to the club this TW" thread instead?

Or a "let's whinge about the lack of ITK talk in the ITK" thread even? ;)
