The strangest thing about this window is how well the club managed our expectations before the window opened. We were told to expect modest additions, with a need to operate a one-in-one-out policy.

Then we ended up with a seriously promising left back, a Premier League experienced right back, a promising centre back, a defensive midfielder with technical ability, a world class attacking forward and a centre forward with a physical edge. Plus the reconciliation of Tanguy- what a window, made even sweeter by its unexpectedness

And thank you to all you lot that managed to stay unbanned and contribute to probably the most fun transfer window I’ve ever seen, the Avatar saga was comedy gold. That day when we had about 40 pages of absolute laugh out loud mayhem was brilliant.

Fingers crossed the team do it justice and give us a season to truly remember for all the right reasons.
