There is no way that a business would spend a metric shit ton of cash with zero guarantees that company/person X would complete a takeover and there can't be a guarantee because the FPP test outcome is not within the clubs control

You mean if we were to break ffp we might get a transfer ban for a window then get found innocent so we have to pay a fine for not being guilty?

Can't see us getting Ings, too expensive and we could lose a lot of money because of corona. Another risk with him is his previous injuries, don't think that Levy will gamble that much.

Strangest thing about this window we have strengthen but not sold any regularly starting players, rose, and Forth might go but they would be quite far down the pecking order now, esp if we sign a CB

Ings would be great and I don't think we would be trying for Ings if we hadn't talked to his people and checked if he was interested. He would be extremely expensive though.

Prof on COYS gave a thumbs up to the following definition

"A cause without which the thing would not have happened"

He also said it's not about promises made to GB or JM, it's not because someone has made a transfer request or because a key player is being sold.

He then said someone had guessed correctly, but "perhaps not" someone who guessed it was ENIC selling up or stadium naming rights.

Other suggestions were that Trevor Birch has secured outside investment or the less exciting Levy seeing the Everton defeat and hearing the criticism from fans and deciding to act.
I'd be surprised if it was ENIC selling up, it's absolutely the worst time in their ownership to be trying to find a buyer.

Sorry but who is prof, can’t say I’ve ever seen his name?
