I get the feeling that we have Llorente tied up awaiting Adebayor or Soldado to find suitors.

Its common knowledge now that he was very close to signing before, but was most likely scared off by the little riots we had down the high road

Now is he a cabbage though and what small cabbage could we link him to, thats the question?

Just stuck a tenner in the pot - cheers to all the mods, and especially to @Rob. You put enough effort into this site without having to pay for it too. Sorry it's not more - just moved house this week, so funds a little tight. I don't post that much anymore but still read the site throughout the day.

eh.... ' Nickname of the football club Barcelona, from the Spanish Primera. The term 'Los Culés' translates to 'The Cabbages''

Could be Bartra and Pedro? Linked to both earlier in the window. Bartra is a CB and we opted for Toby, fitting the clues. Pedro being the unlikely one, perhaps? Serious straw clutching, I know...

And we've long had an interest in Barta.

Perhaps the two cabbages were Bartra and Pedro!!!

The joke one being Pedro ie no chance.

If we are going down that path, the same nickname (the English version, not the Spanish one) applies to Hibernian.
Not so fancy sounding connection now, eyh?

Come to think of it, chou (cabbage) is very common French word for endearing use between loved ones. Petit Chou, Chou, chouchou... And Rabiot's mum is a bit of a cabbage anyway. (y)
Apparently, the Duke of Edinburgh has adapted this tradition, and calls his wife, the Queen, simply "Cabbage". :wtf:

If it is McCarthy and Mirallas (green for Ireland and red for Belgium cabbage from the same grocer) that's one boring cryptic for players we have been linked too for ages.

Why would signing TA mean we're not going to get one of those?

Home red and white
Away Green and red

Laporte could have been the defensive option that Toby stopped. Fits our profile in terms of targets.

A few tenuous options in their squad for the second player, Munuain would bring back memories...

Unfortunately Munain has just signed a new contract a week or 2 ago!!

Just been told that Newcastle expect to sign Mitrovic in the next 48 hours, can we rule him out as a cabbage?

Rules them out of Austin too probably, hope they didn't pull their interest out of him because we are further along the line than the interest the Goat bleated about....

Have a feeling Austin will end up at Palace. He'd be great for them.

If you put it that way, then the small cabbage would be Alderweireld, and the big cabbage would be Schneiderlin. The grocer is So'ton. Me likes it :p

Maybe TA on board at the expense of a young up an coming CB that played in Euro U21. Maybe his performance in that tourney showed a glaring weakness to prompt the club to move in for TA? If So, the 2 cabbages are not Defensive Midfielders?
Green and White? Wolfsburg? Player not coming = Robin Knoche?
Cabbage still possible - Green and White? = Wolfsburg? Red = Belgium Red Devils? Small Cabbage = Brussels Sprout?
Kevin De Bruyne? :p;)
Haha.....I can dream, can't i? ;)
Im happy too if its one of Romelu Lukaku or Adnan Januzaj, but KdB makes me happiest!!!:p
