Team vs Villa

I am really really looking forward to this game, it has all the makings of a cracker. We will look to attack Villa which will open up the game, and they play so well on the counter which could make for end to end stuff.

Add to that the importance of the 3 points for both us and them (wish the situations were reversed though and we were the ones trying to hang on to 4th!) and I think it'll be a great game.

I agree with Zoko at rb but would go with jj next to Palacios. That is our strongest lineup against teams with pace.

Lennon Vs A.Young should be great. It will probably be a key part of the match. Which one will be on the backfoot? I think Corluka and Lennon can double up on Young, but will their left back handle Lennon? And will Young track back to help his left back? Because if Lennon is left 1 on 1 then i think we'll get a lot joy down the right. Defensively i think Lennon is better than A.Young and that could be the difference between the 2. Should be a good game.

It does indeed. Its quite a nice position to be in actually with none of the first XI playing particularly badly.

The only position that may be up for debate is Keano's partner up front. Personally I'd start Bent. I think we should give him until the end of the season to show us what he can do and if Harry's not convinced then see how much we can get for him in the summer. Pav's had a long season so sub appearences for the remainder should keep him sharp without burning him out.

You will need Jenas and Palacios to compete with Petrov and Barry. O'Hara doesn't have the pace or guile to warrant a starting place. I know Modric doesn't offer too much protection defensively, but we need his guile and him demanding the ball to retain possesion better than O'Hara could offer.

I know many wont agree with it but i think it could do well. Think there is a good balance of defencive and attacking options and we shouldn't get pushed off the ball that much with their attack.
