--------------Lloris---------------
Doherty--Toby---Dier----Reguilon
---------Lo Celso-Hojbjerg-------
---Lucas-----Lamela-----Son----
---------------Kane----------------

Subs: Hart, Aurier, Sanchez, Ndombele, Sissoko, Dele, Bergwijn

Think Winks and Davies don't deserve a place on the bench right now. Guess too much to ask for Tanguy to start again. If Hojbjerg is injured maybe put a fresh Sissoko in.

Lloris
Doherty - Dier - Toby - Reguilon
Sissoko - PEH
GLC
Lucas - Kane - Son

Hart, Lamela, Ndombele, Dele, Sanchez, Davies, Aurier on the bench for me. I think Aurier looked good and deserves to be on the bench, same with Lamela. Ndombele deserves to start but I wouldn't want to risk his fitness this early after coming back.

what we really need against a team like Newcastle is:
Lloris
Doherty Sanchez Dier Reguilon
Hojbjerg
Lo Celso Ndombele
Bergwijn Kane Son

but what it's obviously going to be is:
Lloris
Doherty Sanchez Dier Davies
Winks Højbjerg (if fit)
Lucas Lo Celso Son
Kane

Lo Celso Hojbjerg Dele
Lucas Kane Sonny

Agreed all around on the lineups except CM. I wouldn’t think TN can go more than 45 on Sunday at the maximum.

I’m not saying start Sissoko.. but against Allan Saint Maximin we really need someone to track dribblers down from central midfield. Winks looks totally out of it and I worry for Hojbjerg without someone defensive next to him.

I’d like this but I don’t think it will be:

Lloris
Doherty Sanchez Toby Reguilon
Hojbjerg
Lo Celso Ndombele
Dele Kane Son
Playing Tuesday v Chelsea and then vital final Europa qualifier on Thursday is going to need some serious thought in lineups. Jose won’t want to lose to Chelsea this early in season and Thursday is massively important. Wouldn’t surprise me if Lo Celso starts with Ndombele coming in final 30 for him so both can start one game each Tuesday and Thursday.

I would like Lo Celso Ndom and Hojbjerg in the middle most games but given we have Chelsea on Tuesday I'd go with Sissoko in CM to rotate and he actually is useful away from home on the Counter:

Lloris
Doherty Dier Toby Regulon
Sissoko Hojbjerg
Moura Lo Celso Son
Kane

Subs
Hart Davies Aurier Winks Ndombele Bergwijn Lamela

Is Hojbjerg fit ? Assuming he isn't I will go with :

Lloris
Doherty Dier Toby Reguilon
Sissoko LoCelso
Bergwijn Dele Sessegnon
Kane

I would keep Lucas, Son on bench with a view to Chelsea game.

I'm in two minds, on the one hand Tanguy needs to be managed carefully and personally I'd love to see him carry our Chelsea game. On the other hand with our other midfielders showing poor form, he's building momentum maybe now is the time for the big 4-3-3. I'll Compromise by giving him half hour I guess.

Lloris
Doherty Alderweireld Dier Reguilon
Hojbjerg Lo Celso
Moura Dele Son
Kane

I'm holding a few back for the chelsea game, the aforementioned Tanguy, Lamela and Aurier will be perfect for that Tuesday game.

Isn't Hojbjerg meant to be the defensive one? Bit worrying if our supposed DM needs another DM alongside him.

I feel like Doherty and Hojbjerg were both great value pricewise, but I can't help but feel we've signed 2 players that are kind of awkward to fit into our system. Hate to be a downer, but I suspect by the end of this season everyone will be clamoring for "a proper RB" and "a proper DM" rather than the specialist RWB and the all action no.8 that we actually signed.

Still think they weren't bad signings overall as they add a lot to the squad for a cheap price, and give us loads of options. I just reckon we still are far from actually 'fixing' those 2 positions long term.

Aaaaaaanyway. I think we'll see

Lloris
Doherty Sanchez Dier Reguilon
Hojbjerg Winks Lo Celso
Lucas Kane Son

Yeah I have to agree 100% with this paragraph, and the presence of Mr. Doherty honestly made me think of the Sissoko necessity. Saint Maximin is a terror on the left wing cutting in, all action and pace. I’m gonna be honest, Doherty has his work cut out for him and is going to need heavy cover from the DM side, which is in fact very similar to the Sissoko sub vs Everton to deal with Richarlison. Neither player we signed has good pace and they both seem to be just a half second clumsy in tackles.. I don’t necessarily believe Sissoko is the solution, it’s probably asking Lucas to track back more, but this is a conundrum we’ll find ourselves in every other week in the PL.

I think Reguilon should play this which means a 3 man midfield for balance. Considering we need fresh legs for Chelsea i'd let all of Doherty, Ndombele and Son start that one so leave them on the bench for this one to come on and make an impact if need be. With a CM3 and no Ndombele it's a toss up between Gedson and Dele but i'd quite like to see how Gedson gets on in an 8 role. I think he should at least be aggressive in the press and give us a bit more athleticism in there.

Lloris
Aurier -- Sanchez -- Dier -- Reguilon
Hojbjerg
Gedson ----- GLC
Lucas -------------- Bergwijn
Kane
Hart, Doherty, Alderweireld, Davies, Ndombele, Dele, Son

Skriniar and Bale will VASTLY improve this XI. Gotta get Skriniar done.
