I remember when we signed him I thought he was going to be some wonder kid, how shite he turned out to be.

Didn’t injuries do for him?
& a fondness for a few light ales, allegedly.
Yeah, both. Our complete lack of a competent physio department and an admission from himself that he hit the bottle a lot when injured (which was a lot) and didn't take care of himself meant we only saw glimpses of his potential.

He did score double figures two seasons running, 98/99 and 99/00, which was brilliant for us at the time. He wasn't terrible by any stretch.

I suppose it's hard to really judge without knowing the specific details but it does seem ridiculous to me when these divorce "settlements" completely screw over the bloke I'm the relationship to the point where a pro footballer is being made bankrupt as a result. Surely that makes no sense to anybody.

I won a trip to spurs v wolves at our old ground on TS by answering SE. Forget the question lol.
Shame to hear that but I doubt he's skint.
Edit. Hire a hitman, its cheaper and more satisfying.

Someone said the same thing today on Twitter - is that you or did they just dish out tickets because nobody wanted to watch us in 2003? :D

Any of our Norwegian posters know if he's doing okay following the bankruptcy?

From what I can see the bankrupcy case was pulled by the tax officials the day before it was going to be in court.

Not much news from him after that, apart from a piece on his opinon Alexander Sørloth in June. "As a supporter I wish to see him at Tottenham, but I wouldn't handle playing for Mourinho, so I would go for Leipzig if I was him"...

There was a piece on him in Norway's biggest newspaper back in March, talking about his time at Tottenham. The tax case wasn't mentioned, so I assume he is on his feet.

In short he says that he loved his time at Tottenham, even though he was injured a lot of the time. First time he was back at the Lane after leaving, back in 2003, he was surprised at how many people remembered who he was.
