A rumour said that we are interested in 15-year old Leon King from Rangers. Anyone familiar with the name?

Jamie Bowden, 18 year old midfielder who often captains the U23s. Not sure why he's had surgery either though.

Noticed Arsenal Youth scraped through to the next round of the FA Youth Cup after drawing 0-0 with mighty Cheltenham Town but winning on penalties after extra time. What was of interest was an U16 Cheltenham player (midfielder) Josh Aldridge who spent a period of time on trial at Spurs just recently. Spurs play Wigan Athletic (away) in the next round and fans should be warned they are very very good. They include Sam Tickle (GK) an England boys player and Bobby Jones (GK) a Eire U19 player. The list goes on .... Joe Gelhardt(FW) and Jensen Weir(MF) both England Youth U18............Kyle Joseph (FW) and Luke Robinson(LB) both Scotland U19 players.......Thelo Aasgaard (MF) a Norway youth player and finally Alfie Devine a current England U16 player. In other words they are not Cheltenham! A very tough game following the tie with holders Liverpool.

On the subject of Josh Aldridge this was on the local news site;

A little bit on loans in the athletic article

Which leads us to the coming January transfer window and a possible post-Pochettino reversion to that approach. The Athletic understands that 19-year-old midfielder Oliver Skipp is likely to leave on loan next month, and that right-back Kyle Walker-Peters, 22, is waiting to be informed but expects to do likewise. Central defender Japhet Tanganga, 20 could join them after all three were not allowed to leave on loan in the summer.
At that point, Tanganga had attracted interest from clubs in Denmark and Italy, as well as in the Championship, while Walker-Peters was keen to play regularly and thought a loan move would be the most likely way to achieve that. In the end, he stayed at Spurs but after starting the first three games of the season he was, without explanation, sidelined by Pochettino.

Skipp could likely do very well in a Championship loan.

His style of hustle and bustle with some skill makes him a fit in almost any system. A very stark contrast to someone like Onomah who had very little flexibility in positioning and style of play in order to succeed.

in part i'm glad if skipp goes out on loan and gets to play games but on the other hand i really think he could be playing more for us right now given the alternatives.

kwp obviously needs to play somewhere, he's not far off turning 23 and has played so little. when you see that jaden brown is playing regularly and performing well(until he got injured anyway) in the championship then there's no reason to think that tanganga can't do the same, though a slight worry that a club may look at his height and decide to shift him out to rb but hopefully we actually discuss with clubs what their plan for him would be. whiteman and austin need loans too, even if it's to a low level like the national league south it's at least something. tob is another but finding him the right club will be very hard, i could imagine us sending him somewhere and he comes back having made two sub appearances or something. eyoma, hinds, tracey and maybe a couple of others could benefit from loans as well but i expect them to stay.

I think Skipp would do better at a club like Norwich or Brighton . He is above Championship level. Problem is getting game time.

Yeah I agree that he could do well there but they also have to be interested in taking him and I’m not terribly sure any of those clubs would be. It’s the type of move that would look like they’re lacking ambition if they take on a player on loan who is somewhat unheralded outside of Tottenham circles.

I also agree with the previous poster that said he should be playing with us. I just think that realistically he won’t be.

Overall I just think a Championship loan would be good for him and realistic. Despite the fact that it could possibly be “beneath his level” I don’t think it would hurt his development whatsoever.

Has anyone pointed out the trend of alternating bench spots between Austin and Whiteman each match? Seems they must be rated the same by our staff.

A Championship loan would potentially let him play in a team expected to utilize attacking football too instead of just being under the cosh all the time. Also I think its easier for a manager to trust a loan player when they don't feel like every result could be the one that gets them relegated/fired.
