It's not just that the football playing style is shit, but the fucker's growing a bad moustache as well. This football is not worth the high season ticket price tag.

Ndomblele for Alli
Aurier to right back and stay there unless needed on an overlap

60 mins - if still 0-0:

Bergwijn for Son
Sessegnon for Davies

It’s amazing how one simple piece of technology has rendered an entire sport unwatchable.

VAR is going to ruin football.

Yes it's good to look for clear and obvious mistakes like someone spitting or if someone clears it off the line with his hand etch. Looking for players a hair offside just ruins it for me.

Someone will call the RAC on 89 minutes and the man will get that claret and blue coloured bus that's parked on the pitch going and it'll rumble into our box spewing diesel fumes and it'll bundle the ball into our net for a 0-1 win.

Relax. Once the goal comes they’ll crumble as they’ll have to have a go and we’ll pick them off.

With Dier at the back I don't shit myself every time the ball goes in to our half. It's quite comforting.

The first 20 mins were really unconvincing, and two or three times West Ham even had a sniff at catching us out.

Since then we've settled down, plugged away and should really be ahead. In general though we don't look at ease trying to move the ball around and open up a packed defence. This was a problem under Pochettino, it is now an inheritance for Mourinho to fix. Too little idea as to how to manipulate the ball and create space, when to take a touch and when to give it, how to interchange in little sub-units of players, be more decisive or not take as many touches or quality with their action, etc.

Just need to keep going and hope we find that extra bit of quality to make the break through.

I'd rotate the forward line in the second half, even if things stay as they are. All of them a bit ponderous at times.

Much better in those last few minutes with GLC starting to make some moves and the front players making much better runs. We just need to start the second half in the same fashion

Think Dele needs to adopt the one or two touch rule. He predictable always looses the ball these days by over playing or dallying

That was Aguero in champ lge qf against us. when it works in our favour it's great.

If we continue as we played in the last 15, we'll win this. I don't think we will because we are not very good. Either fitness (possible after all that time off) or Jose is not setting them up right, maybe he's not the manager to get the best out of these players. Who knows. On paper we have very talented footballers. They just aren't clicking. It's like they are done and need a new challenge (who can blame them)

We've almost always struggled with it, even at our very best.
Occasionally we came unstuck. But at our best we always succeeded at home at least, only dropping points twice all season and to good teams.

He is only overated by about 5 posters on this forum. Everyone else knows his limitations..but don't worry I'm sure a goal will rebound of his arse in the second half and everything else is forgotten.
When he gets the ball and faces up their defence I just done have that same feeling he will create something out of nothing like Eriksen used to or the likes of a coutiniho or b.fernandes etc can. We miss that type of player. mabye Get winks on and move GLC to n.o 10?

Redknapp "it was Son's fault, he should have been onside". Yes, because players can judge in real-time whether they're a few inches offside.
