nothing to do with your post but why hasn’t the Bale thread been moved over to here yet for all us naughty kids to add our jizz stories in? Same Goes for Reguillon?

Have we ever had a front 3 like this before? I know we've rarely ever gone with a front 3. The 2 best strike partnerships in my time were Klinsmann and Sheringham , Berbatov and Keane , but never a front 3. The Suarez, Messi and Neymar trio was my favourite 3 way (ooh err) ever. They may not get 100 plus goals like those 3 but boy they should be the one of if not the best strike trio in the present day.

Closest thing we got to a front 3 was the last time Bale was here with AVB in charge - pretty sure we lined up with Dempsey - Adebayor - Bale a few times, but even then it was more of a 4-2-3-1.

Id actually start Lamela next to Hojbjerg with GLC or Ndombele the other side. He's a vicious bastard in midfield, unlike Winks, and can see and execute a forward ball quickly, unlike Winks.
I think we'd be stronger defensively and attacking with him in there instead of Winks.
Always been a big fan of lamela and have never really understood why he doesn't get more game time. Its probably his goal return. I absolutely agree, he is far better in there than winks.

Has the world ever had a front 3 like this.

Be ready, copious amounts of lubricant are on order ready for the season ahead.

The pre-game for the Villa/SU game showed a graphic of Goals/Assists for Kane/Son/Lucas - taking out Lucas and adding in even an ‘average’ Bale Goals/Assists return is scary. If Bale gets anywhere near to ’14-‘18 Bale then we could be looking at something special.

Barcelona have had some pretty handy front 3's

Wasn't being super serious. Clearly been a few front 3's out there that are very good (City's - Sergio, Sane and Sterling is another shout), i'm a tad excited about this, be interesting to see their chemistry and how it all unfolds. I think a lot of our rival fans are underestimating just how good a fully motivated Bale is.

Jesus wept. I'm 40 years old, I'm not going to refer to them as "SoniKBoom" ?

I will be controversial and say that on current viewing, in my opinion Aurier would the better pick for this. Doherty has not shown me that he is an upgrade on Aurier so far. A marauding Aurier is underrated by most.
I think we have a pretty expansive body of work and evidence to suggest he can be upgraded upon. Doherty has played three games in a new system. Give him a chance to settle.

I don't doubt that but my assessment has been based on watching him playing over two years in the Premier league, not three days.

So, do you feel Aurier is a better option right now at RB, than Doherty? Or just against specific opponents?
I won’t beat around the bush... I think Aurier is a liability. I really cannot know at this time if his deficiencies are worse than Doherty. I too have watched the latter playing for Wolves and have been consisten impressed. However, that could be down to the system they use. But from what little I’ve seen from him playing for us, I can’t tell which side of Aurier he falls... a downgrade or upgrade. All I know is that we have needed depth in that spot, and now we have it.

I notice this comment from Bale's long time agent. ' I hope he can get his love for the game back ' .

So part of his RM prob was that he'd lost his appetite for football . With this in mind , the Chinese trip made sense .

But does this make sense when he goes into a seriously physical Prem ? .He gonna get the space to enjoy himself in the fabled freezing Feb
away match to Burnley ?

'Its up to him' (to get his footielove back) says agent so we'll see I guess . Fingers crossed .
