'Harry - Spurs can't compete
Manager insists top stars are out of Tottenham's league.

Harry Redknapp claims Tottenham are not in a strong enough financial position to compete with the Premier League top four.

Spurs have enjoyed an impressive season under Redknapp, climbing to a current fifth in the table as well as progressing to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League on their maiden campaign, and staking a strong claim for a spot in the quarter-finals with a first-leg triumph at AC Milan.
But Redknapp insists the club's restrictive wage policy means Tottenham are unable to bring the highest-quality players to White Hart Lane, which puts them at a disadvantage to Premier League giants Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea.

Rivals

Redknapp said: "You need top players if you are going to compete with your top four rivals.

"But the wage rise makes it hard for us to compete with the top teams because we have a stadium that only holds 36,000, so we can't be paying the wages that Manchester City or Chelsea pay.

Probably too long to post in full here. This was before the game... seems a bit senseless from Harry to me to say such things for obvious reasons and before a match we needed to win no less.

It's not that he doesn't have some fine points, but we've invested quite a bit in the squad, as much if not more than at least 2 or our top 4 'rivals'.

I thinks someone should post Harry some mdma/mcat he seems to be on a real downer about our prospects in recent interviews, there was one before the Blackpool game as well that was a depressing read.

It's a story made from a couple of quotes from NOTWs exclusive interview with Redknapp this weekend.

Ah, hope so.

Was not a nice read just before the game, was thinking this really isn't motivational if it was from an interview just before the game. As it isn't however, my bad.
