Wow. I regret posting because this has turned into a pissing match. I wasn’t aware so many seem to be going off a daily star article of all things. Lol christ. I am going off French media reports including local press from the Haute-Garonne. There is far more information there about the evidence against him, his sustained criminality and his own quotes about falling in with the wrong crowd and the impact that this has had on his life. This is not from journalists taking a ten minute break from writing about Hannah’s tits to write about someone he hadn’t heard of ten minutes ago.

Of course from a legal perspective the bar should be high. Aurier should not be punished without due process. And his killer(s) should be prosecuted with the full weight of the law. Part of the human tragedy that is being reported in the French press is about the difficulty of extracting oneself from criminal behavior. It’s actually a tragedy for society that it is far easier to fall into this world than it is to extract oneself from it. This is sociology and an interesting thing to think about.

It’s possible to hold multiple thoughts simultaneously that exist in tension. It doesn’t detract from the immense suffering this killing has caused. <3

There is an undercurrent to your posts that is very distasteful here and you know very well what you're doing, you really can't help yourself can you, you said you were going to leave it and here you are. Seemingly you're the only one that cares about his past but here's the thing no one should because it's irrelevant. What we ought to care about is a man losing his life or at least one of our players having to go through such a tragedy, is it that difficult to at least show some compassion and leave it at that?

Thank you for confirming the alledged (said but not proved) assault which then goes on to slate serge auriers disciplinary record.

Unless you have this twisted idea that Serge will grieve less based on what his brother did or didn’t do, which is a totally bollocks justification for your actions, by the way, all you serve to do here is paint yourself as something which i actually think is becoming clearer and clearer every time you post.

Do you h
Terrible news. Nobody deserves that and Serge must be distraught.

That being said, he was not a nice guy. In 2017 he planned to meet up with a prostitute with two other men. There they threatened her with a gun, used tear gas on her and robbed her. He was caught using DNA evidence. Last night he was tragically shot in a seedy bar in Toulouse.

This sort of delinquency is not something you fall into lightly and is shocking given his brothers fame and wealth. He paid the ultimate price for his bad decisions.

I hope Serge is given time to grieve. Despite his own violent behavior he is in no way responsible for his brothers wrongs.
Do you hear yourself.. That being said.. GTF.. You could show respect instead of being a morality judge. I know what it's like to lose a brother & sister so my heart goes out to Serge & his family.. It doesn't matter a fuck what he was involved with he's stilla brother a son.

you said you were going to leave it and here you are...

What we ought to care about is a man losing his life
And yet you still replied to that post...

Anyway, nice of you to proscribe what we ought to care about. Especially given that I have repeatedly and clearly said I do care about that. I can’t have been any clearer. But it seems this thread wants only condolences and no other thoughts. So let’s leave it there.

FFS. Respect was all that needed for someone already dead.. Are we really gonna discussed any previous wrong-doings while fans are grieving for the player of their club?

Calm down guys. The only sentiment this thread should be emanating is one of sadness for our player who will be going through horrendous amounts of sadness right now, like Defoe, Gomes, Palacios and Zokora also sadly did. It’s a horrible thing to lose any loved one, but a sibling must be truly mortifying.

As for Le Parisien, I don’t feel that he’s trying to detract from the tragedy that’s occurred, nor from the sympathy for Serge. He is ill advised in bringing up the things he brings up, it was always going to be received poorly, but I don’t think there’s malice towards Serge or even the deceased in there, just a poor appreciation of what constitutes appropriate discussion on the very same day of the incident.

Man handed himself into police yesterday admitting he had done it. Reasons unclear but possible dispute over a shared love interest.

I hope Serge scores 8000 goals today

So likely nothing to do with the brothers past conduct then and this is why I said it is ill-advised to make conjecture based on previous incidents.
