This is the way I saw it, most may beg to differ but its all subjective.

In my opinion an overall performance where I got the impression that the team on a whole were holding back and playing within themselves, being mindful of the busy schedule.

EXCELLENT:

VERY GOOD:
Lamela Ndombele Lo Celso Kane

GOOD : Toby Sanchez Aurier Son

FAIR: Hart Davies Lucas Dele

POOR: Winks Bergwijn

My MOTM: Lamela

Excellent that Ndombele got 90 mins in and showed some true class. Looks like he really tried hard in that game, and looked stronger as the game went on. Looks like he's knuckling down, which is great news for everyone. He's my MOM, easily.

Nice work rate from Dele also, much better from him. He tried hard and put effort in.

Disappointed by Bergwijn tonight. Still not fully fit though and probably hard to find form and consistency being in and out of the team.

For now I think Lucas is justified starting with Son and Kane while Bale :)happy:) regains fitness

Was happy with Serge. Got himself in good positions, some decent balls in, he was a good outlet. I give him my MOTM as there was no one else pushing for it and I was always very critical toward Serge.

Not sure what Davies was on the other side.

Other positive mentions: Son, Lo Celso, Tanguy, Sanchez

Negative mentions: Winks, Dele, Bergwijn

Winks, Davies, Bergwijn and Dele were not at the required level today. Or rather, the former three were just plain bad and Dele tried in the first half but nothing came off.

The game turned completely when Lo Celso and Kane came on, those two have to play every available minute as it stands otherwise it looks like what it did the first ten minutes of the second half which I don't think it's hyperbole to say was one of the worst spells I've ever seen from a Spurs side.

What the double sub also did was bring out another level from Ndombele who thrived when he had two more intelligent players on the pitch with him.

Aurier, Lamela and Son also did well.

The good thing is our plan A still works. The bad thing is we always need our plan A to make things happen.

Just sign a striker and never put Son as lone CF again

I didn’t see the game but two of you have given Winks 4 and other people I’m listening to have him as MOTM!

Ndombele's work rate first half was very poor, but exactly the opposite second half. Maybe he does just need minutes to find his fitness. Well done Tanguy! Now let's see it from minute one next game

Aurier, NDombele, Son, Lamela the best
Kane and Lo Celso excellent when they came on
Davinson was good, it seemed like Alderweireld was a step or two slow for pace.
Davies, Winks, Bergwijn all really poor I have to say.
Dele... he worked hard and probably hard enough into a start at the weekend. Still think he doesn’t progress the ball quick enough and isn’t really exceptional at anything, some odd mix of forward and midfielder right now. He did rebound well from all the drama though mentally.

2 people voted for Winks lol??
Lamela for me, his positioning and ability to find space is amazing, can't believe some people want him gone, a great squad player.
Most disappointed with Bergwijn, and with Bale incoming not sure where he fits in this team.

I know it was a shit team but why do I prefer Aurier to Doherty? I have always liked Aurier and accept his faults but he just seems pacier and finds himself in space

Ndombele got stronger as the game went on and did very well

Disappointed with Bergwijn tonight
He’s wasted out on the left for me. He looks far more comfortable on the right hand side. I think someone ITK mentioned that he’s nursing tight hammy’s at the moment too which could also explain the sub par performance.

Lamela for me. Can we stop criticising him now? He's a really excellent squad player to have.

Ndombele first half was out of puff again. Incredibly, in the second he found some and was pretty damned good. He almost looked like a fit footballer, almost. But we got a real taste of how good he can be.

Aurier had a really good game. If he played like that consistently we wouldn't have needed Doherty. He put in two phenomenal crosses in succession.

Son is in a rich vein of form and continued tonight. He is razor-sharp right now.

Lo Celso, as we know, is a classy player. Him and Kane came on and changed the game.

Dele worked hard, should have scored. But I've just forgotten what he brings to us. It's such a long time since he was good and I don't know what his role is.

Hart had nothing to do and had no chance with the goal.

The rest were pretty average with Davies and Winks poor.

We are strange to watch at the moment, I can't work out where we are at.

Only caught the first half. Was pretty laborious. Ndombele must have had a great second half was shocked to see he got motm above son who scored one and assisted 2. Again not seen second half, just commenting on poll results.

Aurier was excellent I thought. Ndombele brilliant second half. Dele tried, showed pace/power and punched his passes well. Lo Celso and Kane were class when they came on and Son improved playing in his best position.
