Haven’t they also agreed that the league has to be finished before 1st of June. If that is true then if the leage cant start at the new date it will not be possible to finish.

No, in fact the opposite.
They have removed the rule saying the league has to be finished by June 1, and replaced it with the season has no closing date.

Nothing concrete, but the legal ramifications from the Championship clubs, and the likes of Utd, Wolves and Sheffield Utd, who would all miss out on game changing revenue if the season is voided, would be huge.

There's also the matter of Liverpool's 'title'. I just can't see the powers that be in this country denying them the chance to play the 2 games they need to wrap it up.

those championship clubs you mentioned mainly being Leeds and WBA they are both only 2 loses and a draw away from missing out, anyone from 13th place can still qualify for the playoffs. so really they don't have much of a case in the courts.

the only thing in the whole of top football leagues in Europe that is pretty certain is Liverpool winning if football is played out

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I'm a fan of predicted finishes like they are discussing re exam grades following school closures, so I'd say on biased views that we were going to finish first and Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea were going to finish in the bottom 4 places, so I'd be happy to see 3 of these 4 relegated, and add one more in for good measure by relegating all 4 given we are in unprecedented times. I'd also disqualify City just for good measure and extend the Champions League ban to the PL for them.
I would then take 95 % of all the profits from these 5 clubs generated over the last 5 seasons and Sky and BT revenues from these clubs from this season and redistribute it to all the EFL clubs in League One and Two to alleviate their financial hardships.

How does that sound ?
Seems fair. Nice to see a totally unbiased and objective point of view.

I don't see how they can even finish the season behind closed doors , as some have suggested , as each match would still have to have the emergency services available which the government are never going to release for a few games of football.

I'm not sure it's fair to take the piss out of Liverpool fans (Jamie Carragher excepted). Their team has had an amazing season, and after years of being also-rans in the second or third position, they finally do it - in a wonderful way I should add - now this has to happen. If it were Spurs, it would break my heart.

But it's not, thats why it's funny...if you think that any rival fans would feel any differently if it was us in that position then I'm not sure u understand the tribalism of football.

Michael Owen, there won't be any premier league for at least, AT LEAST, 12 weeks. By then tens, if not hundreds of thousands of people will have died in Britain. By then if you give a solitary fuck about football, you're a moron.

good move from FA to say that the current season must finish before new one can start.
If need be the summer and even into early Autumn can be used.
Levy will be happy as there will probably be no transfer window this summer!

Make no mistake this decision is not about integrity or doing the right thing this decision is all about money and cash is king .
The health and safety of the nation does not come into it . What a disgraceful outcome .
